it took me 2 years of owning this book to FINALLY read it and i’m so glad i did.

this was,,, so good. and somehow managed to make me feel every emotion all at once.

oh i LOVE this series. i never get less confused but the vibes stay good!!!

short & very sweet :)

this book was both gorgeous in prose and in story.

i am a sucker for historical novels but having one full of so much love and tenderness and joy with a transgender protagonist certainly made me adore this one all the more.

despite that this wasn’t quite a 5 star for me! not only did i find it way too long but the story itself did have a few inconsistencies that detracted slightly from my enjoyment.

i am very eager to pick it up again and highlight and annotate so much of this though :,)

the average rating worked out to be 3.6⭐️ but i rounded up slightly :)

i really enjoyed this! like any anthology the quality of story differed between each one and all of these depended on a range of personal factors, ability to vibe with the writing style and the quality of the story etc. there were some i adored and some i hated - but i overall had a very pleasant time with this! and will be looking to pick up the other anthologies in this collection soon :)

just as confusing as the first but more queer!! so i loved it more obviously. it’s super fun, contains so many complex elements that somehow still makes for an engaging story with a compelling cast of characters. i had a wonderful time buddy reading this and i’m so excited to pick up the next one :)
