I really enjoyed this story, it made me feel many things. Although I wish things were different at the end, I still feel like going through Nina, Jessica and Dolores’ experience grieving their loved one and having faith in her being alive through this TV show was inspiring and seemed to bring them all together in the end.

This being Toni Morrison only short story and it being a social experiment made this stand out to me. The story is told while Toni deliberately removes racial identifiers for each character and leaves it up to the reader to determine which woman is black and which one is white. It addresses how stereotypes and racism can shape our perspective of individuals.

First and foremost I just have to say it’s been YEARS since I’ve enjoyed a romance book that wasn’t a dark romance so this really took me by surprise. I didn’t realize this was apart of a series so I’m excited to be able to read the others from Sol’s bffs perspectives. I thoroughly enjoyed Soledad and Judahs love story as well as Sol’s own journey to self love and healing. The spicy scenes were A+ and their interactions were so sweet they made me swoon. I even managed to shed a few tears a few times. Highly recommend for the real lovers out there.
PS Edward got what he deserved and I hope shit falls apart for him in whatever country he and Amber moved to cause how fucking dare he loll

Another gripping story centered around the trans experience. I’m not really big on historical pieces but I loved how Silas’ story unfolded and the justice that was ultimately served. This made me cry a few times because of how real these experiences felt. AJW never disappoints 🥸
