I had quite a few issues with this one but the major one is that I didn't click with the main characters . Or any of the characters, really, except maybe Sunny and Agnes.

I was expecting smart professionals and gor these people instead.

There are no good variables to work with when the answer to the equation is other peoples' idea of perfection.

Another one where I liked the previous book in the series, liked the main and side characters, liked much of what was being addressed, but still didn't love the story or execution. Le sigh.

There's no age when people stop learning about their bodies.

Ah, Imogen — "a vigilante with a penchant for chemistry and explosives… Perhaps she'd get herself a dog to carry about in her carpetbag. She could call it something delightful. Like Pyroglycerine."

Love these characters but the story was a little slow, repetitive, and predictable for me.

A Douglas Adams-esque science fantasy that I thoroughly enjoyed! It's entirely possible that non-Sanderson readers are enjoying the secret project books better than the Sanderson fans. We go in with no expectations and are immensely entertained. This one is humorous, but not frothy, and pulls together the adventuring, the fantasy, the sci-fi, and the human story quite well by the end.

I still don't know who some of those characters were. This is a decent Regency-era mystery with a satisfying smash-the-patriarchy simmer but the mystery was fairly predictable for me (and went into slightly more disturbing detail than I wanted), the main character wasn't quite to my tastes, and the writing could've used another round of rewrites to integrate some of the front-loaded stage dressing.

The audiobook narration was excellent, however, and helped sustain me through the first several chapters.
