Doctor Who: Agent Provocateur
Mirco Pierfederici, Jose Maria Berdy, Stefano Martino, Nick Roche, Gary Russell, Joe Phillips
a pretty good written graphic novel. the best one i've read this year? no. i am a fan of Doctor Who, but i feel like this was poorly written compared to the show. it didn't flow as easy. the story lines were all over the place, and seemed to trail off just to add extra pages. i liked some of the drawings although they could of been better.
I thought it was a really good book, I did see the movie before I read the book though.
I loved how the story is told through Susie's point of view.I think what really grabbed me on this one was it went into a lot more detail than the movie did, and most of the time they do.

took me a while to read 'cause i didn't want to finish it too quick since it was for a book discussion. being born at the end of the 80's and not anywhere near the 50's this book was a deep look into history for me. which i love history, and it's interesting to learn about how life was back then especially for a child. from how much things cost, to the jobs, and the things you could easly get away with. it was a fun and funny read. it will be fun discussing this book this month.
i tired reading this a while back when i owned the book, not sure what had happen to it but never got to finish it. but in all it was a well fast paced book. it starts with a frightening call to a radio station and goes on a wild ride from there. i didn't want to stop reading this book. it kept going and so many hidden secrets were being revealed left and right. sure it had flaws too, and wasn't the best i've read, but i still enjoyed it.
what a frightful and itching book... literally. i read this with great speed. i loved it. although i have not yet read 'Rosemary's Baaby' i've read in other reviews that this was partially inspired by the book. i have seen the movie and reading about the movie it's said the movie follows the book almost to exacts so comparing this book the the movie of 'Rosemary's Baby' yes i see a huge resemblance, and 'Rosemary's Baby' is one of my favorite horror movies. i really love being scared, horror being my favorite genre of anything, and bugs to creep me out like no other. So where do i read this, no other than my bed, yes i read some on the couch, but bed bugs are still known to roam there, so the creepinest still had effect.
Susan,. her husband Alex, and there daughter Emma just moved into a new apartment, and it couldn't be better, a nice upscale brownstone Brooklyn aprartment for a great small price, hard to pass up right? there must be a catch, leaky pipes? loose floorboards? no none of that. everything seems just right, and plus there's an extra 'bonus' room. sure the landlady is a little loony but nothing to pass up about. Soon after the move in Susan starts experiencing problems with bugs, bed bugs to be exact. Only one problem, Alex and Emma aren't experiencing anything at all. So what's Susan to do? Going crazy over these bugs she'll do anything to rid of them.
This book left me itching all over. i didn't even sleep in my own bed last night cause i finished it. in fact i slept on the couch. finally falling asleep around 2am. i tried sleeping i think i lost sleep due to this book and the fact of my medication. but i think i'll mostly rather blame it on this amazingly written horror novel. i actually even was awake so much last night i had time to start and finish another book. a small book at that but it was at least something.
So go read this book.....if you dare, and you'll be itchy for more at the end. or feeling like you want to burn everything you own by the end.

(might be small spoiler)
i just re-read this last night, not being able to sleep after finishing another book, i picked this up and just read it, and didn't stop. Written by Stephen Christian the lead singer of Anberlin and his side project Anchor and Braille. it's an inspiring read tough at times 'cause of what the main character Ayden goes through and thinks. how he was feeling lost with no where to go, and almost ended it, but but in the end it all works out. it's really inspiring and moving. it gives hope and healing, just like all of Anberlin's songs. i highly suggest reading this, you can read it in a sitting 'cause it's pretty short so it wont take you but an afternoon, and you'll get a lovely read too.

Vampires, Werewolves,Zombies, and more all creatures, some say there not real, some say they are. Every few years a new fad for these creatures seems to come around. I myself like all these creatures finding them fascinating and cool was one thing that helped really catch my eye with this book. 'cause i love zombies!
this book really takes a twist on zombies though, it makes them real, i sometimes think it would be cool if a George A. Romero zombie were real, sure it would want to eat my brains, but the walking dead are interesting. Even Mr. Kinley's zombies, he does make them real and not in a "hugable" way...yes if there were a zombie apocalypse everyone else would be shooting them, or chopping there heads off while i would be the one hugging them. lol ok so i'm weird. deal with it.
Let me go into more detail on Mr. Kinley's zombies, we all have an inner zombie, the sinful part of us, it rages and us having to defeat it within ourselves and others, not to let the other zombies get to us, and infect us with worldly things and desires. This book has both a fictional story which is broken down into episodes, and a non-fictional part. after each episode the chapter would come in with the non-fiction story of it with Bible verses and other inspirational stories, or guided stories, the fictional story was good, but i myself liked the non-fiction sections better. Bible verses were included, there was even a section in the back of the book with all the verses and notes in it for easy reference.
Overall i think it was a decent read and i think those of Christian faith and the love for zombies would enjoy it, i received this book from the BookSneeze team from Thomas Nelson, as i was not required to give a positive review but a review of my own opinions of the book. Thank you for letting me read it.

finished in two days, thought it was going to take me three, but i got so into it i finshed it 10 till 10 last night! i loved how it was from the dogs point of view. he told an amazing story. not only of his life, but his family's life, mainly his owner Denny.Denny's racing career and how Enzo (the dog telling the story) was chosen out of some puppies. I myself fell in love in Enzo. Although not all of his story is happy, or funny it's a wonderful story. i was laughing so much at times, i cried at times too. although it was the end, i was happy at the end, very happy. for now just Denny and his daughter, but for Enzo he deserved the gift he got. i'm not giving it away 'cause i think this book deserves and needs to be enjoyed by all dog lover or not.
a quick read, i decided to start it one night and finsih it 'cause i knew i could. this wasnt a happy read. it starts out tragic and ends tragic. a little twist not big, and after i read it i could kind of see it coming but im glad on who did what to who and why. if you know what i mean?..... i hope i worded that right. i liked this book but also didn't i felt that the characters lacked depth and more personality than they were given. the story in all was good, but i think if the book were longer it would of been better
i really liked this book, it was written in verse which is a different style of writting than what i normally read, but i loved it. it was a dark story, not much happy happens in it, in fact its not a happy story at all to say the least, but it does deal with real life situations. but that's what makes books like these so good, its there able to be related to. the main characers after all trying of off themselves or of feeling worthless in a way they end up at Aspen Springs a mental facility to help with there problems, they meet eachother and eventually for a bond but while still each facing there own demons, can they all over come there demons, and hold on to eachotehr as well as themselves. read this great book and you'll find out. i'll be reading more of ms. hopkins books for sure, and am waiting for her newest book which is out soon!!
