i have to start out with saying the ending totally got me. i never saw it coming. this is the second book by Ellen Hopkins i've read, i really am liking her style of writing. in verse its a little different but pretty easy to get use to once you get into the book...which doesnt take long. Kaeleigh and Raeanne are identical twins but each hold a deep secret. with mom never home, and dad always taking to the bottle, what these two are going through is tough enough let alone there own problems. one being abused by her father, the other by her own hand. these two need some real shelter and love. this book is a real page turner.
Another great book from Ellen Hopkins. Her first adult novel, and it's written in verse just like her teen novles, which makes it great! i liked the connection between the characters.Although the women are older than i am in the story, and i didn't really relate, i still enjoyed this read. The 3 women in this novel are connected, between friendship, affairs, and fate. This story isn't a happy one like most of her books, but the stories really tough deep, and are so real. You get wrapped up in the characters lives, and in every one of her books make you feel like you're a part of there lives. Marissa has a handicaped daughter, and a husband who is completely worthless, and a gay son.Andrea single and with one daughter. Holly frustrated and a simple housewife. These womens life will entertwine between love, and friendship, between highs and lows of life only friendship, love, and forgivness can bring them together.
i read this, but kept forgetting to put my review up, so review is probably not going to be as good as if when i put them up right away but....
Perfect is the sequel to her other book Impulse, and they take place at the same time. With each character striving to reach what they want and see as perfection. While intertwining with the storyline of Impulse.
I liked the characters in this one. ( like i do all her books ) i can normally read her books pretty fast. This one did take me a little longer. I just either didn't have time to read 'cause of work or was too tired, and didn't want to miss anything.
I probably have the dates read marked wrong on here but i cant exactly remember the dates i read it cause i kept forgetting to put my review up...oops.
Again i really liked it, like always with her books through i like one characters story line better than the others, and feel like some characters are built better than the rest. but in all an excellent read.

i got thiscas a member givaway on librarything. a thrilling read. i myself am not a huge fan of reality television, but i did enjoy this book. Cassidy lost the show 'sink or swim' slowly her previous competetors are dying and shes being staalked by a mysterious person who will stop at nothing to get her. i dont want to give too much else away so you'll have to read this one for yourself. a thriling book full mysteries and suspense
i read this while at the library, it was a quick read, it shows that we do need or want technology all the time. it almost controls us. yet at the same time has mad our lives better. from being able to communicate with friends and family all over the world. to helping research new medicine and discover whole new worlds.
i think i would stick this book to the older kids, and kid at heart. read the original 'goodnight moon' to the youngings, and save this one. not saying that this is bad for youngers cause i don't think it is, just try and save there childhood a little longer, than ramming their brains with technology.

i watch the hoarding shows so i was immedietly drawn to this book. it was sad like all the shows are, but it was also differnt. Lucy a young teenage girl to the outside world shes a loving girl who babysits, and hangs with friends, but she has a secret and its her mothers hoard. shes been living in a dump for years. no one knows, and other family members wont help, so when tragety strikes Lucy is on her own to keep the secret safe. i liked this book, and suggest it to those who like the shows. even if you dont, read it you may like it
i finished this a while ago, but forgot to post my review!! i liked it. it was very inspiering and uplifiting. yes it was sad a lot but it was also a wonder read of hope and love. i read this for the book discussion at my library.
