I don't line giving books bad ratings, but I didn't really like this. I really wanted to, but just didn't. I've read books in verse before, but I don't think it worked in this situation. I found this hard to follow, and got very confused at times.
This is a review for a preview of a full length novel:
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
4.5/5
This is a review for NetGalley
This is the first novel by V.E. Schwab that I have read. Although NetGalley only gave my a preview of it. I was really excited. Although I don't read a lot of fantasy novels, I am very excited to read the full length novel.
What more could you ask for? Magic,Coats,Kings,Queens,London and more,,I'm very interested in how it all plays out, plus I loved Kell from the start. I also want to say the cover is brilliant.
I will add more to my review once the full novel is published and I get to reading it. :D

I currently have skipped the second book in the series my friend told me its not necessary to read it. So here I read the third one. It was really good, at first I found it a little slower paced than I did "Relic" which is the first in the Pendergast series, but in the end I really enjoyed it it picked up speed and I didn't want to put it down, and in the end I was very happy. I cannot wait to read the next one in the series.
I loved this one as much as the first, it was great and just as action packed. It left a huge cliffhanger though, that is making me want to pick up Mockingjay right now, before I finish books that need finishing before I start it. Cannot wait to find out what happens in the final books! I am so obsessed with this series right now, I know books are most of the time better than the movies, but I'm still excited about the movie(s) too.
WOW! I loved this book from page one. I did not want to put it down. I didn't want to sleep last night cause I wanted to read it. I slept a little but not for long. I woke up due to a storm, but I also think it was cause I wanted to read more!!!!
North America is no more, now in the future amongst the ruins is Panem. 12 Districts, and a yearly event called the Hunger Games. Children ages 12-18 2 from each District, 1 boy and 1 girl are sent to fight to the death and its all broad casted on national television. District 12 is the coal mining District and Katniss Everdeen is sent to fight, but by her own choice. Her younger sister Primrose was chosen, but Katniss takes her place. Peeta Mellark is the boy chosen. Being sent into The Games what will happen? I'll leave that up for you to find out.
This book was filled with so much action it was so amazing. At the end of each chapter it literally left you wanting to read more. A great fun, easy and fast read with fun loveable characters with unique names too. I highly recommend this one!

Nick and Tesla's High-Voltage Danger Lab: A Mystery with Electromagnets, Burglar Alarms, and Other Gadgets You Can Build Yourself
Steve Hockensmith, Bob Pflugfelder
First sorry it took me so long to get a review for this up. I've been busy with doctors, work and now the holidays.
Twins Nick and Tesla are sent to live with their Uncle Newt while their parents are on study in
Uzebekistan. Uncle Newt gives them free roam of his lab. Using whatever they want to experiment with. They come up with some pretty rad inventions too. The book even includes instructions to build inventions along with Nick and Tesla. (Young readers please have parents handy.) I was going to do a few myself to add to my review, but didn't have the materials.
This is an easy book, and good for early readers. It's targeted towards middle-graders, but just about anyone into science I think would enjoy it.

This book is fun. Its not a book you would pick up when roaming the book store looking for a good read though. It would make a great road trip book,a stocking stuffer or something.
Do you remember the 'choose your own adventure' books? This is basically a choose your own adventure, but with the classic game of x's and o's
I had fun flipping through the pages back and forth trying to beat the book at tic tac toe.
This book has a small introduction, and a Q & A intro. You also get a brief history lesson, so you do learn something, which isn't bad. :)
So a
(part of the review went mia somehow. and i don't know what had happen. i wrote this after reading it)

World of Trouble by Ben H. Winters
Book 3 of 'The Last Policeman' series
Dates read:approx month of July
4/5 Stars
First I would say I enjoyed this one the most out of all three books. We'll at least for the first readthrough of all of them. It took me so long though. There wad changes at work so sneaking in reading time was difficult. But I made it. Oops was I suppose to admit I read at work?
Hank Palace has left saftey to look for his sister Nico. He ends up in Rotary,Ohio. So many clues and very little time as an asteroid is days from hitting earth. With the world coming to an end,and him trying to stay sane will he find his sistet in time?
Read Ben H. Winters 'The Last Policeman' triliogy and find out.
I received all three from Quirk Books for reviews.

Ok the read dates where way off on this. I read both this and it's sequel back to back, I don't remember the exact 'read dates' but hardly ever do. but at least i get them read. :)
Set in the not to distant future a man named Hank Palace is investigating the death of a man in a McDonalds bathroom. It's suspected suicide. With an asteroid headed towards earth some turn to suicide. Hank believes this is no suicide, but a murder. Even with the world coming to an end Hank is determined to solve this case. A great mix of mystery and apocalyptic mayhem. This is well worth the read. Part one of a three part trilogy. Scary thing for me is I was reading it at the same time some of the dates mentioned in the beginning of the novel. (queue Twilight Zone theme)
