First off it took me forever to finish this book. I was in the process of moving and didn't edxactly have the time to read. At times I wanted to put it down and forget the rest, 'cause I have a deadline for the Pendergast books, I need to finish the series before I read the newest installment in the series "Cold Vengeance".
So for first read this book in the series 7th Pendergast, 3rd Diogenes, I found it to be a little duller than the others. I will give this a re-read sometime though 'cause of my recent love of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. But as for now moving on to the rest of the series in hopes of finishing before my reservation of "Cold Vengeance" is at the library.

I received this from Quirk as part of there blogger review program. A cute little book filled with ghosts. BOO! Did I scare you? Well weather I did or not I know this book will do far from that....at least I hope so. This book is a easy read. Beyond the introduction theirs very few words. So it is easy for any age to read. I laughed a lot while flipping through this book. Weather you like, love or hate ghosts you will never look at one the same way again after reading this. These aren't just your average ghosts. These guys have style. They reference movies,tv,the internet,or are just plain goofing off.
This book is tiny, I mean as in pocket size, or great for a stocking stuffer, and it's due out just in time to prepare for the Halloween season too! So read this book and be prepared to scare or laugh your head off.

We've all seen Star Wars, we've all read Shakespeare. So why not combine the two? That's exactly what Ian did. A great job too. First let me talk about the look of the book. A hardcover with a sweet dustjacket. The detail in the cover photo is amazing ( they're photos throughout the book too with just as much amazing detail.) Take off the dustjacket and you get a weathered looking book. I thought it looked so sweet. I tend to read my hardcover books without the dustjackets too so they stay nice.
This is written in Shakespeare format , language and all. I felt like grabbing a few friends and acting it out....Still might do that. :)
If you're wondering if you'll like this books well I say if you love Shakespeare, but don't like Star Wars...why would you not like Star Wars is beyond me,but just saying. I say read it. If you love Star Wars but not Shakespeare, read it! and if you love both! well then duh read this book. It's fun no matter what. Good job Ian, now please write the rest of the saga.

I won this from a goodreads first reads. I won this a while back but with how many books ive been trying to read I put this off. It is published from Quirk books... I love their books. I was able to read this in one day. (shhh during breaks at work.) It was a simple book. Great for a grade school- middle school age. It also would fit for them since it's based in middle school. What attracted me to this book was Lovecraft being in the title. What a great start to a series Robert is a average kid. New at Lovecraft Middle School he's a big unsure and doesn't have any friends right away. That soon changes but also with the new science teacher acting strangely and a "secret" attic in the library. This book will leave you screaming for the next installment young and old.
i received this as an early reviewer from librarything. this is actually the first book in the Pride and Prejudice and Zombie's series, i also have not read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice yet. i did enjoy this book, but i really think i would of enjoyed it more if i would have already read the other books at least the Zombie versions of them, once i read the first two books i'll reread this or look back on it and probably rerate it as well. i will continue reading Quirks books retelling of stories is really cool, and i pretty much always enjoy them.
a pretty decent read, i read it quick too. it was basically the same concept as the movie 'groundhog day' but not funny. it was serious. this girl dying and her having 7 days to make it all right. this book although it has a story it is the same story told differently in each chapter. things change, times change. it's a good read to see what Sam ( the main character) would do next. i also felt like i was in the middle of a 'mean girls' moment, and at times i was. although my high school years are over ( thank God) i could still partially sense what Same was going through, althogh i was more in Juliet's prespective, in being in the unpopular crowd. i suggest if you liked the movie groundhog day. (like me....Bill Murray is awesome!!) but want a dramatic twist then read this, if you dont want to reread the same thing over told a different way than skip it. i say even though this is cassified as a 'teen' novel anyone can read it. i still read 'teen' novels and im not a teen anymore.
a pretty decent book, but in my optinion too short. it was set up well though, and the story wasn't bad, i just wish it would of been longer. i could of read it in one sitting if i had the chance but i worked so i read during break. i've read a lot of books on similar subjects fiction and non-fiction, and other's have been better, but some have been worse as well
I read this in 3 days, it would of been two but i was really tired last night and even with about 40 pages to go i just couldn't finish it, so i finished it this morning. I saw the movie once before i read this, but it was a while ago, and another view of the movie would be nice, even though books are most of the time better than the movie i probably would still compare them like i always do.
I liked how the main protagonist Craig explained part of his depression, the words he used to describe what was going on in his head was great, for someone who has battles depression, and is still taking meds for it as well, but has never been in a psych hospital. it was a pretty good book about depressional issues and dealing with them.

wow, this book left me speechless. the last paragraph, ok last few chapters more like it was nail biting. and i finished it during lunch of all times. i had about 14 days to read this, it did take me about 11 days but with work and not always having time during breaks and such and also with a day where i didn't read it at all cause i was out of town i did pretty damn good. and it was a great instalment to the Pendergast series. i cannot wait till the next instalment. i don't want to write anything about the book really cause i don't want to spoil it. with the Pendergast books it be too easy for me to do that in a review. so read it and you'll know what an amazing book it is.
This book in the Pendergast series takes a differnent twist, and this time he's investigating his wife's murder. It was full of as many twists and fun adventrues of one of the greatest FBI agents ever created. A great start to the "Helen" books. I can't wait to start "Cold Vengeance" tonight!
