very funny. listening to this one it was nice it being read by Lisa, and Francesca. I'm going to try and listen to books more, as I can "read" on my walk to work. : ll

I received this from the Goodreads giveaway program.

This was a fast past read, I tend to read memoirs faster than I do novels.
What went on in her marriage made me upset. It was hard to read every time he hit her. Knowing she was scared and afraid, but to frightened to do anything. I'm glad she finally freed herself from such an unloving relationship.

a short novel, i read it in one sitting. Meredith is a girl who is no longer safe, her fater released from prision way too early. on charges that should of kept him in and her and others safe. Meredith's mother wants her father to move back in at home. Meredith runs to her friend Andy for help, and to hide.Andy happens to be in a wheelchair and has to go away so can't be there at the time for Meredith The whole town wants nothing to do with her father. Meredith has a hidden teddy-cam she uses to help with evidence of things her father continues to do to her. I was very happy with the ending everyone got what they wanted and deserved.

this is the second book by Lucy Knisley I've read. another very good graphic novel. Food is everywhere in this one. I got hungry at times while reading it. she not only includes stories and her love for food, but some recipes as well. this book came before 'something new' (which I read before this, and I loved due to the story and colors) the artwork in her books I really enjoy. they're clear, cute, and colorful. with a graphic novel for me the artwork also has to be appealing, and this fits perfectly.
I know she has a few other books out somewhere, I'll have to read those as well, as I think I've discovered yet another author I really enjoy. :)

I suggest this book to anyone who loves food. or maybe an inspiring chef. or if you just love a good graphic novel. but I warn you, this bio k may make you run to the kitchen. :)
bon a petite

A quick read. this is a graphic novel I got for the kids department of the library, but it can be for anyone. this is a memoir in graphic novel form. plus it's done with bunnies.
cece became deaf at a young age, and this is her story of childhood and learning to use a phonic ear.
it's a cute story, but could also be a good learning tool for kids weather they're deaf themselves or know someone who is.

this is a good read for anyone. my mom even liked it, and she's not much into graphic novels...she's getting there though.
