a pretty fast read. kept me on the edge of my seat a lot of times. :-)

i forgot to post that i finished this so guessing on the date. i liked this book. it was the first erotic novel i've read. i'm reading book 2 (almost finished) and book 3 :D i love the relation between Christian and Ana

First let me say what a fun book. I got this book through a reviewers mailing list I am on.

A great debut book from author E.B Hudspeth. Written in two parts. Part Frankenstein, part Grey's Anatomy. This makes for a good adventure. It starts out with a biography of Dr. Spencer Black, a doctor, a scientist, a mad man. Obsessed with animals and anatomy he transforms life to make new creatures of all sorts. I thought the biography section was a little short, but it did it's job well. Maybe in later books we'll see Dr. Black again.

The Second half of the book is really amazing. filled with pictures and diagrams all drawn and written by Spencer Black. I absolutely loved the detail in the end. Featuring a lot of mythical creatures many may recognize. It shows every angle inside and out of each creature.

I loved this book, definitely sharing with friends, and you should too.

Reggie is just thirteen years old and her mother is found victim to a series of killings where the right hand is left on the steps of the police station and then places the corpses on display in town. Reggie is devastated. Years later she gets a call saying her mother was found alive at a homeless shelter. Reggie goes to investigate and on a spree to find the killer and the person responsible for keeping her mother captive for so long.

I've read a few other of Jennifer's books and like the others I sped through this one. It jumps back between when Reggie was younger and present day. But it is a very easy read. Some parts read slower than others, but then some parts were so nail biting i couldn't put the book down. ( sometimes i had too though, cus I would sneak in reading time at work. Shhhh...)

I found myself trying to guess who I thought the killer was, and even I was wrong. It had a bittersweet ending.
If you like mystery and suspense and twists, i suggest you read this book.

This is the first book from Nora Ephron I have read. I laughed a lot. Despite me being a lot younger than some of the stuff discussed in the book so i would have no relation. But got a good laugh and in site at what to expect in the future.
Weather you enjoyed her movies, or a good laugh younger or old. I thought this was a decent, easy, and fun quick read.

3 1/2

I haven't read the original novel first, but this sounded so good I had to read it. At times the book seemed to read a little slow, but I stuck with it to the end. I was as the publishers name goes [Quirk]y but it was very enjoyable. Who really would turn down a book with adorable kittens in it?

Another great novel from Canadian author Chevy Stevens. I first fell in love with Chevy's books with "Never Knowing" her second novel. Her books are filled with so many twists and mystery.

I'm going to try and not give too much away in this review. Chevy's books are too good to spoil in review, and I sometimes have a hard time writing a review without spoilers.

This book is a little different from her first two. The first two focus on sessions with Dr.Nadine Lavoie, this time She is involved in the case. She has a deep connection with her patient Heather, after realizing she knows the name of the leader of the commune Heather was at. Nadine remembers she was there when she was younger. Somethings come back to haunt her.
As she unwravles the mystery of Heathers issues, she is haunted by her past and her claustrophobia. Which she realizes is somehow related to her childhood. With some help from her brother she tries to get through it all safe and alive. All while feeling watched all the time.
