I really liked this book. It felt real, and kept me on the edge of my seat at so many times.
Max Parkman is an autistic boy a high functioning autistic boy. After a downward spiral Danielle, Max's mother brings him to the best mental facility in the country to try and sold the issue for his outburst and suicidal tendencies.
While at the hospital some things start not going so smoothly. Danielle steps in to sold what's going on. The hospital refuses to release information on how they are treating Max. After some investigation she decides to take Max out of the facility. They wont allow it. Shortly afterwards a murder occurs with another client at the facility, Max is left to blame, convinced her son is innocent she goes on a search jumping through hoops of all sorts to prove his innocence.
I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say the ending left me shocked. I did start to guess something along the lines of who committed the murder, but like how it ended. I don't think this will spoil anything, but I can't wait for a sequel.

Finished last night. stayed up too as well even though had to get up early. will write review later.
very fast read. lots of twists throught. it kept me guessing till then end and then still left me stunned. if you like twists and surprises than read this book. this is the first book I've read by jane casey. I will definitly be reading more from her.
Preston and Child do it again. What a great fast read. So many times where I didn't want to but my book down. They always manage to keep us on our toes. In the town of Roaring Fork, our lovely heroine Corrie Swanson is investigating killings from a grizzly bear for her college thesis. But things don't seem right with the bodies of the dead miners killed years ago being moved. She starts to investigate and everything unwides. Of course we still have our favorite Special Agent. Special Agent A.X.L. Pendergast.
Filled with twists and turns. And some Sherlock Holmes mixed in. Anyone's bound to like it. Seasoned P&C and Holmes fans alike. Will surely like this new addition to the Pendergast series.

As a person who really enjoys memoirs, this was a very quick read. I grew up watching the "Two Corey's" films even though being born in '89. Feldman talks a lot about what Hollywood keeps behind closed doors. It was sad to read all what happen to these young actors. But in also still continuing to happen. He talked about his struggles with addiction, and his home life. In and out of rehab, I'm glad that Feldman recovered and is now a proud father. I wish Haim would of been able to get more help. But they have to be willing to help themselves as well.
If you're a fan of memoirs, or of the "Two Corey's" or both give this book a read. I guarantee you will enjoy it too.

Dates read are approximate.... I'm bad about updating dates. lol
What a thrill ride. I forget exactly how I came to have this on my 'to-read' list. Either browsing 'most scariest books' lists or maybe it was this song from Polka dot Cadaver "Chloroform Girl" . This was a very quick read. I read reading it on breaks at work, and everything just to finish it. Although at times it did make my stomach turn. I was part disappointed, but also left part thinking about the ending.

The world is ending, what's a better thing to do than solve the mystery of a missing person. That's what Detective Hank Palace is up to. While half the world is going "bucket list" he is still out doing his job. A friends cry to find her missing husband. But does he really want to be found? Hank is also struggling with this sister Nico who is having some issues of her own. It will be nice to see how everything comes together in the final installment.

finished the other day.
This was a very cool read. I don't read many Amish stories, but this was definitely different. This took your typical Amish story and turned it right upside down. This is no innocent hayride in the country. This is the haunted hayride you see around Halloween. I think the words to sum this book up best is. Vampires have arrived in Amish country.
I would say even if you're like me and don't normally read Amish story books, but like horror, then give this book a try. I liked it. but I don't think I would read a normal Amish book after...just the sequel(s) to this...depending on how many there are and or will be. I would probably be looking for the vampires in those books to and end up disappointed and return to these. :p
