I was sent this book via NetGalley from the publisher Sourcebooks Fire in exchange for an honest review.

Meet Stella, she's an aspiring photographer and a triplet. Along with her siblings, she is a former high school graduate. To get her sick sister, Cara the greatest birthday present ever - signed merchandise from her favorite band, The Heartbreakers. Stella and brother, Drew drive to Chicago to make that happen. Even though they're not very fond of the band; Stella especially.

When they stop at a Starbucks, Stella meets a cute guy and they end up bonding over her camera. Little does she know...he is Oliver, the lead singer of The Heartbreakers! which they discover when they get to the signing that they're unable to get into.

When they think they'll never get Cara the perfect present, Stella and Drew end up staying at the same hotel as The Heartbreakers. Stella rides the same elevator as them and insults their music, Oliver just wants more. Stella and Drew are invited up to have a fun-filled night with the band. Shortly, romance ensues between Stella and Oliver.

Alec (one of the band members) takes a look at some of Stella's photography. Soon after, she is offered a position to run the band's photo blog that shows them being themselves. She develops a deep friendship with the bandmates: Oliver, JJ, Alec and Xander. We get to know the boys characters throughout the story and understand their lives.

This story doesn't just focus on the romance side. It also focuses on Cara's cancer and how the family is dealing with it. Cara was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer a couple of years ago and it's getting very bad. Stella is constantly revolving her decisions around Cara's cancer.

I thought the ending was tied up very nicely and Stella made the best decision. I really enjoyed this story because I could relate to Stella a lot. I had been an aspiring band photographer when I was in high school and I really enjoyed reading a character who is one. Also, Drew mentions that Stella has a bad temper and I could definitely relate to her in that sense.

If you're a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer or boy bands, this is definitely the read for you! I highly recommend this book.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I hoped. I liked to see Deanna grow as a character and learn from her mistakes. But, I just didn't feel like I got to know about her writing and really the purpose of this book.

She annoyed me. *SPOILER* She didn't want to be called a "slut" and so she kissed Jake, Lee's boyfriend. *SPOILER*

Her father's resentment towards her was ridiculous, I genuinely felt bad for her & her mother was just trying to hard to make everything better. I really enjoyed her relationship with her brother, Stacey & April. That made me happy but then I wasn't happy with the way her brother treated Stacey.

Friendship IS a great message in this book, though.

My first high fantasy read and it was enjoyable! Although, it was very slow to start - about the first 200 pages.

UGH THIS STINKED! The ending is a bummer!!

Full review coming. But, I will just say I loved this book so much that I could hug it. I had no idea what this book was going to be about when I went into it and I'm so glad. Harriet is a very unique character and I enjoyed her.

I really enjoyed this. As the reader, you are taken throughout all of Katie's crushes from Kindergarten - age 25. I really liked learning about her crushes and the details behind him. This was very entertaining learning about Katie and her journey through dating (sort of). I felt connected to her at times especially her middle school days. Although I am different than Katie, I saw some similarities we share. I was connected to her in the way that I was rooting for a date or boy she encountered.

I laughed-out-loud quite a lot throughout this book. Seriously, KATIE CAN WE BE FRIENDS? She's hilarious!

This is definitely a great pick me up!

I didn't give this the full 5 stars only because I felt that she could've easily made more of an effort with relationships AND I didn't get to know about her for a bit, I didn't find out until the last few chapters where she was from and I was searching for her family. I was constantly wondering if she was an only child but she says she does have two brothers but, I wanted more. IT'S A MEMOIR!!

Overall, I'd pick this up again but I'd need post-its and a pencil - which I didn't have -

Just a mini reaction for now:

SO MUCH SADNESS. I loved how realistic this felt, this is definitely how grief if dealt with most of the time.

Perfect book to get into the summer season, or if you're missing summer! Belly really annoyed me, but Jeremiah made me swoon!! I loved the flashbacks because they made sense to what just happened or what was coming. This book was really family-oriented which I loved, Susannah & Laurel were so lovely! The dialogue was spot-on, boys can be hard to write and Jenny Han did a great job! Especially with Conrad and Steven.

This is a perfect Coming of Age novel and I'm excited to finish out the trilogy!
