Very thrilling and kept me guessing. If you're looking for suspense, pick this up! I really enjoyed Anna's character because she showed Jill what traits a good friend has.
This book was going to be a 5 star read. However, I really was annoyed with the amigious ending! I was anticipating what happened to Simone the whole time and then you don't even find out!!! Ugh! I understand why she set it up like that because Jill probably wouldn't remember since she has a brain injury, but I really wanted to know!
4.5 stars out of 5 stars. This was the perfect bookish Christmas story!! Rachel Cohn and David Levithan write beautifully together!! I loved all the clues and mystery of this book.
This book was perfect for me because I am such a fan of Gilmore Girls. Caymen and her mother, Susan are basically Lorelai and Rory in a nutshell. I devoured this book and I loved it so much. If you ship Logan and Rory in Gilmore Girls, you're bound to love Caymen and Xander.
Anything Could Happen is a perfect winter/holiday read. I wished I had read it closer to Christmas, but reading it before New Year's helped as well. I really liked the music aspect in this book and how Tretch likes to dance. It was so rare and unique! I don't think I have ever read a male protagonist who liked to dance. It's always been a female, so this surprised me. Tretch is not openly-gay and he is falling for his best friend, Matt who has two fathers, Landan and Ron.
I really liked this LGBTQIA+ book because it isn't about Tretch coming out to everyone. It's just about him becoming comfortable with himself and coming of age. I did enjoy this book but I did have problems with it as well. I felt as if there wasn't much of a plot and Tretch wasn't really going to accomplish anything. I also felt like some scenes weren't needed and I kind of would have liked more holiday spirit and elaboration on the Handel's since they were almost a big part of the story as well.
Overall, I would recommend this for a book that isn't a m/m romance but just about a 15 yo boy trying to find himself. Also, for fans of David Levithan - you might enjoy this since David was Will's editor for this book.

The way I feel about this book is a lot similar to my feelings toward [book:The Geography of You and Me|18295852]. I felt like Ellie was a lot like Lucy, where she got mad at Graham for her own personal reasons and just tried to push him out of her life without any explanation. Then, she went back to him?
I really think I had high expectations for this book having it be about an email anon relationship, however it was super short and I wished we got to see their relationship through emails progress instead of "3 months later". I didn't feel the email aspect per say and I really wanted the book to be centered around finding out who Graham was rather than how quickly we're introduced to him.
I guess the book fell short for me because of my own personal preferences especially how the chapters aren't split in dual POV and the chapters telling you which character we'll be reading from. Jennifer E Smith writes in third person which really throws me off and I was very confused to which character we were reading from, having their names helped but I did feel confused and just wished I had the first person.
However, I really enjoyed Graham toward the end of the book and I feel I knew his personality better the last 20 pages !?! I wanted more of Graham's wit and sweet side throughout the whole story.
Last, I did enjoy the way family is introduced between the two characters, a lot like [book:The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight|10798416] where Hadley and Oliver both have family storylines that aren't the best, but are meaningful to the story and characters.
I really did find myself dragging through the book, I almost DNFed at page 340 because I was so done with it. But, the ending really helped me and I just wish the book was more like that!
I recommend this for a summer read, I read it in the Winter but I still liked the Fourth of July scenes and the hot summer days!
{4.5 stars} I read this on my e-reader, I read about 80 pages until I picked up the audiobook and finished the whole book in two sittings. I suggest the audiobook, it's the way to go. The narrator, Rebecca Soler is excellent and she does the voices of every character very well! My favorite character was definitely the Cheshire Cat, he was hilarious and had me cracking up during his scenes. This book was just so incredible, I don't even have words for it! I love, love LOVED it! It was my first Marissa Meyer book and my first Retelling. It was really great.
However, I do feel that it wasn't quite a 5 star book. I felt as if Marissa assumed the reader had known the world of Hearts and it wasn't really built up. I was looking up things, usually that related to Lewis Carroll's story. Also, I would have liked to see more of the characters from the tea party - but this wasn't a Alice in Wonderland retelling following Alice, so I understand.
It was also slow while reading and I was glad I picked up the audiobook because it made the story quicker.

I was contacted by the publisher and sent this through Net Galley from Entangled Publishing. This does not affect my opinions on the book.
This story is set on the cutest beach, Luna Cove in Sebastopol, California. This is the artist part of Sebastopol where Dakota McCloud spent/spends her life.
Dakota has just gotten her heart broken when she finds out that her best friend, River has hooked up with her boyfriend, Cody at college; Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Dakota’s anger results into writing a letter and putting it in a bottle to throw out to sea. But, she doesn’t have a very good throwing arm.
Jack is tall, dark and handsome. So, we can’t really be angry that he’s kind of a stalker. He’s a …hot stalker. The minute Jack sees Dakota at her favorite coffee shop, his mission is to get to know her. But, not by going up to her! By secretly following her and catfishing her! Weird, I know.
Dakota is a very unique character, she’s artsy and has been home schooled her whole life. Also, she’s very confident which I enjoyed a lot about her. She sees right through the barista, Miles’ who is trying to hit on her every chance he gets. She’s witty and humorous which made me crack a smile or dozens. Since I love coffee so much, my favorite part of this book was Dakota always stopping for Chai at her favorite place, Cafe Vida.
The messages between “Jack” and Dakota were interesting to read. I learned a lot about them as well as Barcelona while reading them. I enjoy books with emails or message format so this added a star for me! They were very cute and I loved the way Dakota felt about them. Her responses and feelings were very realistic.
This book had a lot of Spanish-esque to it, which I didn’t really understand at most parts because 1.) I’m not Spanish 2.) I’ve never taken Spanish or really know Spanish. This is the only flaw I had.
Nonetheless, this book was very cute and a good read! It is suspenseful, funny and realistic. The challenges Dakota goes through are pretty common to happen IRL. It’s just a few months before she’s heading to college and she’s very torn.
Thank you to Entangled Crush Publishing for sending me this book for review!

This is probably my favorite of the series. However, it was super sad! Be warned!
It was inevitable that I would enjoy this book having loved Simon, Becky's debut novel and this book did a fantastic job at satisfying my book-lover needs.
Molly Peskin-Suso has had twenty-six crushes but has never been kissed. This has come easily for her twin sister, Cassie who has had girlfriends like it was not a problem. Molly learns about growing apart from her sister and finding herself. Everything changes this summer for Molly when she starts working at Bissel, a shop in town and meets a nerdy boy, Reid.
Reid and Molly are my new OTP. I shipped them so, so hard and I was laughing out loud. Reid is a funny guy who is obsessed with GoT and Cadbury Mini Eggs (same to the mini eggs). Reid has a great sense of humor and so much sarcasm. Their story is so cute and pure and I JUST LOVED IT AND THEM AND AH. Molly and Reid are both characters with underrepresented body types, they compliment each other and have an adorable romance.
This book has so much diversity within the character's (race, sexual orientation, religion, mental health and size). Molly and Cassie are sperm-donor children and have two mothers, Patty and Nadine - who are #parentgoals - they're so chillaxed and very supportive. Their family is Jewish and interracial, we see Jewish traditions implemented or just talk of Jewish culture (Reid is Jewish too ;) ). Mina, Cassie's girlfriend is a pansexual Korean American and we see some of her culture as well.
This is such a great coming of age novel about a seventeen year-old girl wishing for her first kiss. Molly's story is so real, sweet and raw. I definitely related to Molly in many ways. She has a hard time interacting, she's shy and experiences anxiety. She feels like the friend that isn't being looked at. But, she also is a Pinterest queen and I envy her. I made some edible cookie dough that she made and it was delicious.
If you liked Simon, you are going to love this novel especially because we get to see more of Abby, who is Molly's cousin. As well as glimpses of Simon and Nick.
Disclaimer: This book is like Mini Eggs, you're sad when they are all gone. Truly, I didn't want it to end.

I NEED HALF STARS, GOODREADS!!! 3.5 Stars is my overall rating.
I was sent this book for the Backstage Pass Series Box Set from Entangled Teen via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. This does not change my opinions on the book in any way.
We follow Aimee whose summer gets turned around when her friend, Becky ends up getting mono and cancelling their fun summer plans. Instead, Aimee has to go on tour with Seconds to Juliet with her brother, Nick and the band for three weeks while her parents are on a trip for Doctors Without Borders. Aimee isn't thrilled, but deep down she's a secret superfan of the band. She ends up rekindling a friendship and relationship with Miles - a friend of her brother from their childhood- who is in the band. Miles is known as "The Heartthrob" of the band due to his past relationships. Her brother, Nick forces her to stay away from him because he is a player.
Nonetheless, Aimee and Miles go against the rules because of their love for eachother. I felt this book was SUPER cringey at times because of the things they said.. Aimee's phrase to say is "nut-burgers" Huh? Also, some of the cheesy lines that Miles would say had me cringing!!!
This was super cute, as I expected. It read like a boy band fanfiction. Miles is probably my least favorite character, though. I kinda hated how he kept having to hide his relationship with Aimee and he was sort of a hypocrite! He would always say, I can't be with you blah blah blah and then he'd sneak Aimee and make out with her. GAH.
Miles got super cute at the end, though!! I shipped them together by the Epilogue. Glad there was an epilogue b/c I really wanted to know where they were after the tour!
Aimee was a GREAT character!! She's a YouTuber!! I thought that was amazing, she and her friend, Becky run a vlog channel where they review books, movies and music. I would so watch them if they were IRL!!
