This series will never not be good. Reliving this a second time is so much fun - seeing so many links that I missed!
These books continue to be insanely smart and well-thought out. Really love the twists and turns and how, despite how far-fetched storylines may be, an effort is always made to keep it somewhat rooted in truth.

This was so enjoyable!
A really cleverly written retelling of Dorian Gray. This book really does mash together a range of genres in such a well-crafted way. Sapphic, dark academia, mystery, thriller, horror. It's all there, but it doesn't feel shoe-horned in. I was worried that it would feel forced and clunky, but it really wasn't.
The romance elements kind of bubble away in the background. What really is at the heart of this book is Penny's relationship with herself. This book explores the pressures we put on ourselves and have put on us by society to conform, what lengths we would go to to conform and what happens when we step outside of that.
I was hooked by the audio - we're treated to a fantastic narrator who really adds depth to the story and makes all the differnce.
This is so worth a read or a listen. Fun may not be the right word, but it's fascinating and beatiful in all the right ways.
