This felt very Colson Whitehead to me. I don’t think the audiobook format worked particularly well for me, I’d definitely be interested in rereading a physical copy.

It’s very A Little Life x Young Mungo. A heartbreaking listen, but I struggled following parts of it. It meant I didn’t connect to the characters as much. 

This was so interesting. The concept was phenomenal, the use of audio original. 

I really loved the storyline and the ending was so perfect. 

This is a deep book. It’s not about what you think it will be about. It’s about motherhood and language and connection and sound. 

I’d love to return to this world at some point.
