The plot doesn't even start until 50%-60% in. This book is so slow, it's almost painful. No dark carnivale can save it, no matter how cool.

I loved the writing but this book got really slow. I found myself asking "what's the point?" A lot. It was so many PoVs and I don't think it was necessary. But the writing style kept me hooked.
