There were so many amazing elements in this book, but I just wasn't connecting to it. It also just felt odd that she kept calling her love interest "boy" so it made me keep thinking he was a child.

While I had a lot of fun with this mystery, it wasn't the best one I've read. I didn't really love the characters either. And I had a few unanswered questions.

I get why people love this book with a really cool magic system, but it just didn't click with me. I enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Also, it did get repetitive. "A smile tugged at their lips" was said 1 too many times.

I'm on the fence with thus book. With beautiful and engaging writing, it was easy to get lost in the story. I'm grateful the stone played a bigger role than he show, but it still wasn't enough. And the long chapters were so unappealing.

This was ok. It got pretty slow in the middle, but I like the beginning and the end. Plus the world is pretty interesting to keep me reading.

I really enjoyed this book because it was so easy to follow. But some of how the world building was done were personal pet peeves. Also, some of the surprises were so easy to see. And the romance was pretty weak. Also, I did find one of the main characters a bit annoying.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns. The pacing felt slow at times, but the ending was worth it.

I actually enjoyed this one more. Really felt their chemistry.

Got all the charm and comedy of the first book. Didn't feel like it fell off at all. I'm super interested in where this series is going and the audiobook is just so good!

I just felt our two mains were too similar. While they're going through very different things, their voices felt the same. Loved the world and magic system though.
