This was fine. I really wish we didn't have any PoV from Edison. It should've been just Maude and her sister's journal. It would've been a much stronger book.

Man did I enjoy this book. I'm so surprised! I'd loved the world and magic system. The main character was just amazing. I didn't go into this book expecting to love it so much, but here I am!

I really loved this book! Lived up to the hype for me. The only thing I couldn't get over was how YA this book started off as. It was just too much for a book written for adults. But I'm enthralled!

There is the miscommunication trope, which I'm not a fan of but there is a forgiveness here, since she's escaping an abusive ex. But also, is Gelato that hard to make? Still cute though, but the plot holes got me.

This is super charming with so much heart. I think it's a great quick read, but just too fast paced for my personal taste. Everything just fell into place too easily.
