I wasn't vibing with the mystery in this one. Mainly because I didn't really love the characters. A lot of inner monologs felt repetitive. I'm still willing to continue the series though. 

That ending got me! I was ready to give it 3.5, but that ending made me bump it up. 

This is dark and adventurous. I actually liked it more than the first. But I'm sick of Alice in Wonderland retelling pairing Alice with the Mad Hatter. But these PoVs were more satisfying.

I like these characters but I wasn't feeling the mystery. It was good, but not as gripping as I like. It felt more character focus than mystery focus, when I want both.

It was cute with a very different take on the fairy tale. I felt the dialog felt flat though. 

Someone watched Ted Lasso and wanted to romance Roy Kent. It was cute, but I just couldn't connect with the characters like I wanted.

I really enjoyed it. It did get slow, but what got me was the separate PoVs taking too long to come together.

Heartwarming, cozy, and somehow heartbreaking all at once. Definitely a good read. 

It's so much fun and i adore these characters so much but the book gets too info dump-y. We don't need to know all these details.

The story was so good and dark and creepy. The characters were amazing. But the inclusion of Judaism felt odd in this completely fantasy world, i say, as a Jewish person. It should have been an allegory. Still. Wow. Loved this!
