I'm gonna be thinking about this book for awhile. I'm greedy for a more closed ended ending, but the ending was still perfect. 

I definitely wished the death happened way sooner or if the whole mystery was who was sabotaging the bakes. I'm amazed I was able to keep track of all the PoVs. It was a fun read.

Oof. This was a downgrade from the first book. I didn't enjoy all the red herrings. It wasn't fun or engaging. The characters kept me interested. 

The way I got legitimately scared and had to call my partner because I was alone in the house with no one to protect me.

I wanted to love this book so badly. I was so excited going in, but there was a part of me that wasn't in the mood for it, and that side won out. I didn't vibe with the magic system. I think my favorite part was the relationships in the book. We'll see if I give this series another chance, but I didn't vibe with this time round.

Not a half bad story but the main character was such a "not like other girls" that it got so insanely annoying. It's a product of its time, but I could barely handle it. Still a great plot!

I really enjoyed the plot and world. It felt odd that some of the characters were described one way, but never acted that way. I forget the exact line, but a character held back her sass, but not once was she sassy. I also think some of the characters motivations could've been stronger. Also, so weird hearing my name all the time!

It felt like a lot of threads lead nowhere, but dang I love these characters and want their happiness. I'm so invested in their journey.

I wanted to dislike this book, but I really enjoyed it. I liked that her success story was more of the focus, the dual PoV was used so well. 

I really like the plot and characters, but it got so chaotic. Such an interesting magic system and world.
