This book won't be for everyone, but it was for me. The mix of humor and dark topics was handled so well and with so much care. Please go into this book with care, but a great read.

Better than the last but I there is still nothing great. I hate the romance. The world building is a joke. All around, not good.

Very cute but too fast. I didn't feel like i could sit in the moment. But definitely a great book to pick up between heavier/longer books. Definitely want to read more from this series. Also the sound mixing was so bad. Don't do audiobook.

I love Daisy, but the setting wasn't the strongest. I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to believe they wouldn't stop a show after a murder. I wish there was more explanation of her magic too. Great plot, but needs a bit more world building.

I definitely got a little emotional. Elise Bryant knows how to pull at my heart strings. It's cute but not great, and I wish there was better communication in the book.

I did really enjoy it but this series needed to be a duology. But still love the characters and world. 

It felt like a few short stories slapped together instead of one complete story, but it was still really good. Like each story was moving and enjoyable. I just wish they were better connected.

This was so cute. It was so funny it was in Long Beach and I was trying to figure out where everything was. But dang, there were some personal conflict that hit close to home and made me cry.

Wow. What a surprising read. I was expecting it to be fine, but I actually really enjoyed it. It mixes such heavy topics with this paranormal/horror story. I was just so surprised that I enjoyed this book so much. It was a bit slow at first, but once it picks up, about 20% in, I found it very enjoyable.

I'm so moved. Jemisin's writing is beyond phenomenal. This story is so moving and so powerful. I'm in awe.
