THIS BOOK👏👏👏
I think the best way to describe this novel is BEAUTIFUL. It was a very heartwarming read and it was so easy to fall in love with the characters. Honestly, I almost cried.
I just loved how everyone connected, became each other's support, and healed together.

It talked about a lot of difficult issues but it was done in a way that wouldn't wear you out (at least for me). It was lighthearted but serious.
Nick Podehl did an AMAZING job narrating this.

Epilogue is one of the best I've ever read.
There are books that needs to be read and this is one of those books.

To Lucas, Zoe, Connor, and Roy: I'm so glad I met you.

I found it very slow-paced and not the good kind. For a book this size, I wouldn't mind spending time reading about the world building and/or the development of the characters if it was written in a way that I find enjoyable. I didn't care for most of the characters and to be honest, I can't even remember most of them even when I was reading the book. I did enjoy the times Ileth spent interacting with the dragons but overall, it was a frustrating read.

Unfortunately, I won't be continuing with the series.

"How didn't I know this about you?"
He gives me a funny look and asks, "Were you looking?"

I enjoyed reading this book! It was perfectly balanced between being lighthearted and emotional. I alternated between reading it and listening to its audiobook and Erin Mallon did an amazing job narrating this book.

I adored several of the characters but, if somebody can send a Josh Lewenthal my way, that would be great. No lie, he made me swoon several times.

It’s very predictable (e.g. the New Year’s resolution, the quotes, the big and cringy romantic gesture) and there weren’t any twists that are shocking or new. But you know what? I didn’t need this book to be something new or mind-blowing because for me it was a book I had fun reading. It was easy to read and when I was listening to it, I was very much immersed.

The biggest flaw of this book? Everyone is so judgemental. Seriously. Except for Josh..or am I too biased and missed it? Naaah, definitely not Josh😌

"And sometimes the things that were wicked become the things that save us, and the things that were good doom us to misery and pain."

This is a short book so I shouldn't have felt that the story was dragging but, I did. So while it was an okay read, I didn't really enjoy it.
I liked the characters but their development weren't satisfying at all.
