adventurous mysterious

A Dress to Die For is a mystery novel following Mandy as she discovers her friend Kate murdered after buying a gorgeous vintage dress. We see her investigation into the murder and getting caught up in small town drama.

This was a very cozy mystery that I was able to finish in one sitting. It felt like a classic amateur detective novel and allowed the reader to try and figure out the mystery along with Mandy, I would recommend this book for adults who read Nancy Drew as a child. 4/5 stars.

absolutely devastating.
wild to realize at the end of the book that you're witnessing rin's slow decline into madness but since she's the narrator it's so unreliable. like she recognizes that the feeling she's having from war isn't her usual reaction but she has no issue with it. but in fact she is going mad. also her and kitay dying together so sad😭
informative slow-paced

This book is an in depth discussion about CO2 and the role it plays in the creation, maintenance and the future destruction of our planet. This was a very dense novel with a lot of information to parse. It was quite interesting and I enjoyed reading the history of the molecule. I will say this book would benefit from some illustrations of what is being discussed. There are a few references to illustrations which I couldn't tell if there were supposed to be pictures that weren't compatible with digital reading. I think I would have had an easier time reading if I had a physical copy to flip through.

Overall a pretty informative, interesting book. 3/5 stars.

Plot or Character Driven: Plot

What's Yours is Mine is a thriller novel following Kate and Collette as they compete for a prestigious dance scholarship. The story has a Dance Moms-esque vibe to it with the drama and chaos that ensues. I truly could not believe what I was reading most of the time, it was so ridiculous. I definitely struggled at times because the plot was so petty and insane. Just unreliable narrator after unreliable narrator.

I wouldn't read something like this again since it's way out of my wheel house but it was an enjoyable read. 3/5 stars.

this really felt like a great description of what an abusive relationship feels like from an insider perspective. something felt wrong about the plot/story though

this book wasn't for me. it started very slowly and had a large activation energy for me to get into. and once it actually got going, the plot was only mildly interesting to me.
