This is a sweet retelling of Cinderella, with a black trans girl named Ella as the protagonist. She lives with an abusive family who misgenders and deadnames her, but then she goes to a ball and after one dance with the princess Lizabetta, the two girls fall in love. I'm really not into instalove romances but this is an instance in which I thought it was cute. I am definitely going to read the rest of these fairytale retellings by S.T. Lynn.

This is a decent anthology of creepy stories. I had fun reading them, even the ones that I thought were just okay. Some of the stories thay stood out to me are "La Mascara De La Muerte" by Henry Barajas and the final story "Husk" by Clay McLeod Chapman. I will definitely be reading volume 2.

Samantha Rendle has dropped all of her labels. That is fine. I get joy from my labels, but nobody is obligated to use labels if they don't want to.
Anyway, as some other reviewers have mentioned, this book is more of a basis 101 introduction to aromanticism. The language is very informal, which makes this an easy and accessible read. There are brief definitions of aromantic and its microlabels. It is also nice that there are quotes from people who are on the aromantic spectrum. Although in the section where she lists famous aromantic people, the only author she includes is Alice Oseman, when Claudie Arseneault is one of the biggest names when it comes to aromanticism and asexuality.
Aromanticism is one of the most ignored and misunderstood identities outside of LGBTQ+ spaces, and books like this can be helpful in bringing awareness and hopefully acceptance. This is not a perfect book by any means, but I'm still glad it exists and I would still recommend it. I would just advise that readers seek out more sources instead of just completely relying on this book.

This is such a wonderful poetry collection. As someone who's demiromantic, demisexual and a lesbian, it made me feel like I deserve to be seen, heard, and accepted. Also, it helped with my conflicting feelings about the times I think a romantic and/or a platonic partner would be nice, but also knowing I really like being single. I am definitely going to read more of Katie Fouks's writing.

Samantha is waiting for her husband Richard to come home. He is late and has not called to let her know where he is. But when he finally does arrive, his behavior is erratic and violent. This is an unnerving and creepy novella about an abusive marriage. It somewhat stressed me out, but I also felt compelled to keep reading to see how it ends. A huge thanks to David Viergutz for sending me a free digital copy of this novella.
