This was a really cute F/F romance with callings to a specific 90's rom-com that everyone will recognize and delight in. Like I went in knowing what it would be and was still excited for it. It was a sweet and satisfying ending. My only complaint (and this could just be on me as a reader) was that the age gap between Rosie and Jane was very apparent based on how Rosie reacted in certain situations. This is dual POV so that's a big check mark in its favor. but Rosie took a lot more grace than Jane did for me. And that could be because age wise and personality wise, I'm more like Jane than Rosie but still. That part detracted a bit from the overall enjoyment but I still really enjoyed it and will likely re-read it in the future.

This was a cute short read and had all the humor I've come to associated with the author. Since its a novella the romance aspect was sped up but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a (super) short sweet holiday romance. I really enjoyed the character Reagan in Fangirl, once we got past her prickly exterior, so seeing her as a grown up was fun. That said it was really short and I would have liked more about her. Also I think it handled a story written about a world in Covid really well without being too heavy handed one way or another.

I enjoyed this book overall. I have found out in the last year that I do like fake dating and I think it handled it well, especially since it was obvious to everyone that their meet cute was actually in the prologue and not the surprise kiss. I took Adam's attraction to her as a crush and not stalking like some people felt. Which isn't to say that differing opinions are wrong; I just didn't see it that way. I also never really got the asshole aspect of him; he just had high expectations of students that presented to him and, while the delivery wasn't always the best, it doesn't mean that the information he gave was incorrect.

Don't get me wrong I get the concerns others have. But, IMHO there are far more problematic romances (and Star Wars couples, cannon or fanfiction) out there. It was a cute sweet book and while I somewhat agree on the...unique...aspect of the sex scene(s) that were on the page (although let's be honest stuff like that does happen) I still really enjoyed it. I would re-read it again and likely will since ultimately I loved the banter and the back and forth.

That said there is a TW/CW for sexual assault/harassment that happens on the page and is referenced to at least two other times after the fact. The specific pages are 228 - 232, 311, and 325. The author handled the writing of the original one really well but it's still there. So, be mindful.

As with all romances, I say let yourself be the judge of whether you like it or not. It's all well and good to listen to advice, reviews, and other's opinions. But ultimately it comes down to what you like and prefer.

Yet another short cute (yet steamy) read from Lau. I enjoy second-chance romances and this was a cute one, especially the scenes in the hotel room with the couple next door. Will likely go into the regular rotation for holiday reads.

This was a short cute read. I loved the banter between them and the nods to "You've Got Mail?" and "Pride and Prejudice". What I really enjoyed was how obvious it was to the reader (at least to me) that Jonathan had no animosity whatsoever towards Gabby at least not when we were introduced to them. Plus the holiday setting was awesome.

Minor spoiler (but not really because it advertises that it's based off "You've Got Mail" so.....) I like how when Jonathan figured it out, he leaned away from their online relationship to try to fix the real world one. Sure, he could have could have come out and stated who he was but he also knew that, with Gabby bein how she was, that would have been too much for her. That kind of care and consideration was really sweet.

That said there were some things that felt superfluous and unnecessary, such as the the ex-boyfriend. I understand he was there as a plot device to initially drive them apart but once he had served that purpose there was no need to keep him around, especially given how stalker-y he was at first and then he just gave up finally. And how much Gabby seemed to force the alleged rivalry between them.

But overall an enjoyable read and one I could see picking up again around the holidays to help prepare for it. Would recommend.

Okay I really loved this one. Tom was the perfect kind of hero for me; stoic exterior with multiple sexy layers underneath. I also appreciated how overall POLITE he was because that is something we don't see a lot off in romance. Which isn't to say all others are impolite but it was more noticeable here.

Plus the banter between him and Julie was *chef's kiss*. This will definitely go into my regular holiday reading rotation.

While still cute (inflatable T-Rex costumes always are) I didn't love this one as much as the others in the anthology. I think it's because the synopsis was misleading on the one-sided aspect of the attraction. Still it was sweet and steamy with a good friends to lovers story.

Before I read this book, I didn't think I was a fan of the best friend's sibling trope. But between this book and The Dating Plan, I may have to rethink my position.

If you hadn't guessed, I loved this book. It was so funny and sweet and I loved the slow build up between Annie and Brendon that bloomed into love. I am a sucker for romcoms and I had to laugh at all the re-creations he tried. They were so sweet, even if misguided in some ways.

I also appreciated seeing how Elle and Darcy's relationship had grown since the last book, which I also adored.

TLDR go read both so you can prepare yourself for the next one when it comes out. This author is fast becoming a favorite and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us.
