This is by far my favorite read of the year so far and definitely the most highlighted book on my Kindle maybe…ever.
This book is a work of art. It is evocative, emotional, witty, and so incredibly magical. I felt attached to the story from page one, and I fell so in love with the characters, their bonds, and this world. The magic and lore felt so unique and interesting, definitely a breath of fresh air from your average fantasy world magic. The world-building is so unreal, it has such a lush and spellbinding atmosphere and the more I read the more at home I felt while also feeling like I was on the best adventure of my life.
Emer is an amazingly relatable main character, and I truly don’t think I will ever recover from my crush on Calder. Their relationship is all the morally grey banter and tension I’ll ever need, and the development of their trust and connection feels so special and meaningful. The journey Emer goes on for her family, and the family she finds along the way, were enough to bring me to actual tears. Between the heartwrenchingly beautiful writing and the explosive devastation that was the cliffhanger ending, my heart is a puddle after this one and I will not be recovering anytime soon. Like maybe not until I get book 2.

Wow, just wow! Frost and Death is an absolute gem. A sparkly little snow diamond if you will. Imagine a world where six kingdoms are ruled by monarchs with extraordinary powers given by the Makers. Intrigued? Just wait
Tove is grappling with her newfound power, grief, the weight of her responsibilities, and the harsh judgment of her people for things beyond her control. As she navigates her way through politics, power struggles, and one particularly broody king, her journey of self-discovery is amazing and so inspiring. The slow burn enemies to lovers romance has some truly electric tension paired with a blossoming relationship that evolves into a real connection and a wicked payoff
Frost and Death does an amazing job weaving magic, romance, and inner turmoil into a story that feels both epic and intimate. Tove's struggle with her powers and her quest to find a balance between her heart and her inner monster are incredibly relatable, and it's all wrapped up in a fantastical world full of magic and beauty.

This book is god tier spicy bodyguard fantasy romance. I love retellings and this is such a good one. The world is so immersive, and written so richly. The forbidden romance and slow burn were immaculate. The magic is unique and immersive and whimsical. There wasn’t a second of this book that felt like filler, I absolutely devoured it because I was dying for more. Sabine is such an incredible character and her relationship with Bastien is complex, deep and so beautiful. I just really loved this book a lot, by far one of my favorite series of all time.

So unique and such a wild ride! I really loved this story and all the references to different fairytales, it made it feel so much more magical. The balance between fun, whimsical touches to the universe and the dark fantasy aspect was so interesting. I loved the relationship between Rapunzel and Zarev, it had substance and heat without being overbearing or taking away from the the plot and action. The story itself felt at times like there were too many threads to be following but I do think it does a good job of bringing everything back together and explaining things that may be a little confusing along the way. Overall I really enjoyed reading this and definitely am looking forward to continuing the series!

I found this book to be such a unique little gem of a fantasy romance. It feels slow paced in a way that isn’t boring but cozy and deliberate. It has a touch of mystery, little twists and breadcrumbs, and a very sweet romance with really cute banter and some sneaky lil semi-spicy moments. I loved reading from Isabel’s point of view, her character has such a quirky and funny POV but also brings a poetic and raw realness to grief, guilt, fear and loyalty. Between the amazing world building and the evocative writing I truly got lost in this book for a few days and felt like I was wandering around the Sanok Isles in the rain and a sweater. I just really loved this book, and with THAT ending I will definitely be back for more.

Loved this one! It was gripping from the very beginning and had so much fantasy, action, mystery and romance. It feels like so much happens in the span of this book, and I’m so glad there‘s more to come because there are so many questions still unanswered that I am just dying to know! The romance is a real slow burn for sure but it’s done so well and by the end of the book I was rooting for Maren and Kye so hard. This book has such a good balance between the romance and the fantasy, it has so much interesting detail about Naiad mythology and a really strong plot that kept me guessing constantly even after I thought I knew what was coming. If you love a dark fairytale vibe with enemies to lovers, mermaids, feminine rage, this is your perfect summer read.

Struggling to enjoy her life and desperate for a way out of her rut, Anthea finds herself in over her head in a world she never thought possible. Lost and confused in an unknown realm where nothing is as it seems, she embarks on a journey that forces her to examine herself and embrace the inevitable change as she tries to find her way home. Entangled with elves, magic, and prophecy, Anthea must unravel layers of deception and betrayal while trying to find her footing in a brand new world.
This was a really great introduction to a new fantasy series. Asavi excels in world-building, creating a vivid and immersive setting. The attention to detail in the political, cultural, and social structures of the world enhances the realism of the fantasy setting and makes the reading experience much more immersive. The plot felt very well paced, with perfectly timed twists, reveals of information, and moments that built character development. This book has the perfect balance of romance and fantasy, sprinkled with political intrigue and spice. I can’t wait for this series to continue so we can see where Anthea ends up.
I’d highly recommend this for anyone who loves strong FMCs, magical courts, elves, dragons, and broody swoony bodyguards.

DYING over this sequel!! The first book of this series blew me away and the second was no different. was sucked in from the very start and flew through this book just wanting more and more of these characters and this world. The way Whitney writes creates such an amazing sense of immersion and I can never get enough, I wanted to stay in this story forever. The romance was as spicy and satisfying as ever and the plot expands so much more, this was nothing short of an incredible read. The next book can’t come soon enough!!

This book was not what I was expecting at all from a second book in a series about fated mates, and I really loved it for that! Lainey and Phoenix's relationship takes a turn I didn't see coming and even though I know there are reasons for the change and it broke Lainey's heart, I was still cheering for her to run. The nature of their bond is clearly still such a mystery, and this book really highlighted the idea that a mate bond doesn't necessarily mean a HEA which I love because it's not typically how this trope is explored. While it's possible they may still get their happy ending, it was refreshing to read about a mated pair who aren't constantly head over heels for each other. Getting Ash's point of view was amazing, he is maybe my favorite character and his growth throughout this book was outstanding. His and Lainey's friendship is such a bright spot in this book, they have the sweetest bond and it made me happy that they were able to stick together and help one another throughout their troubles. I can't wait to see how this series continues. I have such a love/hate relationship with cliffhanger endings but this one was perfect and just left me wanting more!
