This book was everything you could possibly want from a sequel. We get to see more of the characters from the first book plus new ones who make the story that much more interesting, the plot never slows down for a second and by the end you would do anything to know what happens next. I think my favorite part of this series is how immersive it is, there is so much rich detail packed in about the world and the characters and the variety of POVs keeps things fresh and helps the story stay lively and exciting. So much happens in this book that I was not expecting, and I was never disappointed by the twists and turns that just kept coming. I can't wait to see where this story and these characters go next.

This standalone gothic fantasy really felt like taking a trip to Sleepy Hollow. The atmosphere is so richly written, it’s impossible not to get lost in the vivid descriptions of this world. Katrina is a wonderfully relatable main character and it was so empowering to read through her journey with anxiety, abandonment issues, and parental neglect along with a supernatural prophecy on top of it all. She’s the perfect example of a character who doesn’t need to be a superhero to overcome adversity and emerge stronger. The romance was such an amazing addition to the story, Katrina and Alexander have such a sweet connection and their relationship feels so genuine and safe. This book does such an outstanding job of subverting expectations, and creating an air of mystery that will suck you in from start to finish. If you’re looking for something to get you into spooky season, this dark and twisty retelling is it.

Such an amazing series starter!! This story had such imaginative world and character building. The pace was perfect, not too fast but never boring and packed with plenty of detail but not overbearingly so. The way the story moved along kept me enthralled the whole time, and the ending left me dying for the next book. If you love books about destiny, prophecy, and fate along with a little bit of fae courts and romance - definitely read this book.

I knew from the second I read the chapter titles of this book that it was going to be amazing, and it did not disappoint for a single second. This book was phenomenal. It was the perfect read to get in the mood for spooky season, so much mystery and witchy lore. Neave is such a badass and made this book so fun to read, her strength and sass were so admirable and inspiring. The relationship between Neave and Ty was so natural and real, from their beginning to the end of the book they both grow so much and yet both maintain the best parts of themselves while they figure out being better for each other. The story premise and the plot were amazing and moved at such a nice pace, every scene felt purposeful and not a second of the book felt flat or boring. This was such a satisfying, cozy, cute witchy read with a pleasantly happy ending and I loved every minute of it.

Grave Secrets was a really good read. It had so many things that I love; angels and demons, magic, family secrets, creepy houses and a hundred year old book boyfriend who calls you darling. I usually find urban fantasy less entertaining just because of the modern elements but the plot itself was very intriguing and kept me wanting to know more. The storytelling by the characters was really well done and were some of my favorite parts of the book. The mystery and fantasy and romance elements came together perfectly and this ended up being a really great story.
Read. This. Book. And really read it. This book was nothing short of exquisite. Everything about this story was enthralling, I was immediately hooked by the writing, the outstanding imagery and world building, the way the characters are introduced and developed just blew me away. The romance was gorgeous, the banter and the tension and the slight hint of spice was absolutely everything. This was one of those books that pulls you in, and you build and break along with the characters every step of the way.
I truly wish everyone could see in this book what I saw. It was beautifully written, so different from the ordinary in a way that immediately piqued my interest. It’s not a book that can be skimmed through, and sometimes you may have to reread a line to grasp what’s really being said. Sometimes you even need to read between the lines, but that’s part of what I enjoyed so much about this book. It kept me hanging on every word and allowing myself to get lost in the story. I loved this book so much, and I am so excited for the next one.
