A lot of it worked in a way I wasn't expecting, but also a lot wasn't quite my speed. The lust was magnetic. And their chemistry was off the chain, but it was also just lust at first site and a little bizarre. The dialogue was cringe, but overall I enjoyed it a lot! I can't believe they didn't meat until 25% in. Also the British man doing a southern Black accent and an American woman doing a British man voice probably didn't help the experience. I'm actually excited to try the sequel and see how that goes. I loved how strongly Dutchess/Dani stands up for herself in all ways!
throuples >> why choose (I said it)
Hades + Meg + Hercules
This one really isolates how the Wicked Villains series ties in with Dark Olympus which I didn't know and is super fun! I can't wait to see if they overlap more in the future. But I finally know where Hercules ran off to!
Also shoutout to Tara Langella because her voice is so hot and now I want to go listen to more books ready by her. Really embodied the unaffected vibe of Meg in the cartoon.

It was a novella for a series I’ve realized I’m over but I needed a win. Read in 1 sitting and it was perfect. Anne deserves better than Harrison but cocking tools always win in her books so what’s new?
Wow. Believe the hype. Also the audiobook production was INSANE!
Dare I say it? This is my favorite Bergman book! It probably helps that I was coming off of the last one which was my least favorite but yay!

I am in an accidental YA kick and have been super wary but so marvelously surprised. The second half of this book is loads better than the first half. Perfect auditing audiobook companion. But wish I had a physical copy to annotate because the slipped in Taylor Swift lyrics were next level.

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts. But I think TJR is a one-hit wonder for me. I admire her development of interesting characters and plot-lines, but then they always feel very one-note, and a one-note, unlikable character in a character-driven novel is just a tough sell. I'm glad I did the audio on this one! Loved her dad and Bo and tbh Nicki Chan.
She's definitely on the autism spectrum.
The ending was just so good and touching but it felt rushed. It also has me thinking more fondly of the book as a whole when really only the last 5% I loved. idk. something's missing. defo don't need a show out of this. Maybe a movie? but it's not interesting enough to justify a film about a not real person in my opinion.

Hey siri, play Cool for the Summer on repeat
v cute! Not used to ya having alcohol consumption and bjs but like I'm here for it. very much CW vibes but make it fruity. Would be a cute mini-series or movie for Netflix. Dual timeline worked for me for once. Just wish we had a bit more of a denouement but alas <3
I'll tell you one thing, all of these characters are WAY TOO COOL FOR ME
