The women in this book are flat but we also have to keep in mind that it fits with the perspective. Charlie becomes a genius but was still stunted emotionally, so it really fit with his character. 

This book is heartbreaking. While it does use terms that are outdated now, the overall message is sadly still needed in todays world. 

A heartbreaking and hopeful read. A story broken into three parts, each flowed together seamlessly. A warning to those who may need it, there are mentions of rape and a light scene that was both heartbreaking and sadly necessary for building anger and showing how bad things become. It is a short scene that is easily skipable. 

This is a fun and unique story with a wide cast of characters. It was easy to find characters to relate to and that you wanted to root for. Also, there were characters that will probably creep you out. 

Taking off a half store for the weird love square that’s goings on? It felt like it took for the main plot, however it was still fun at times. 

I’m excited to see how this story progresses. I’m excited to see who ends up surviving if anybody does. At this point, I’m doubting if even the main characters will make it through all thee books. 

A heartbreaking book with history that is not as readily known. 

This is a piece that is so inspiring, about a real person who was standing up against Hitler. 

As long as you read this book as a product of its time, I.e sterotypes, it’s still easy to enjoy the mystery. There’s a large cast of characters, a great plot, and the clues all come together nicely. 

This book Brooke my heart at the many layers of injustice, the friendships forged and lost, and just for Haymitch in general. This book also showed just how trapped and abused other victors were as well, which adds so much more context to the original series. 

This book just wasn’t for me; but the writing style was good. 

Loved this story and I’m excited to see how the other books play out. As always, I’m invested in the plots that T. Kingfisher writes. 

This is a charming book from the perspective of a cat. While it does have a passing of a cat, it was done well and left me feeling hopeful for what was to come.
