this book was such a roller coaster too tbh like every chapter was something smacking me in the face. sometimes multiple things!!! i really do appreciate all the character development tho thats going on and how hazard and somers are as a couple...its really nice to see how they move on from things like fights and how theyre getting better at communicating!!! you love to see it!!! oh and colt is a darling. if anything happens to him i will actually burn the world to the ground

ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! literally tho i was so happy w/that part of the book!!! it was a small part but heehee hoohoo now he can start to heal and you love to see it 💖 i mean...as long as he keeps up w/it. if he dips im actually going to go crazy go stupid like dont jerk me around. stay in therapy and start talking abt things please and thank you
also the wedding??? i shed a few years i wont lie...it was so sweet and like :((( hazards vows...emery hazard the man that you are....

like literally. what the FUCK. how many times can they rehash the same issues, get over them, seem to improve, only to then backtrack and get worse. it makes no sense!!! it makes no fucking sense!!! i was so close to pulling my hair out during this book because oh. my god. i want to grab these men by the shoulders and shake some sense into them, literally. hazards doubt in their relationship felt like the easy way to justify his anger (which was already fairly justified tbh) and somers entire breakdown just felt so...idk...misplaced? or...maybe not misplaced, but it felt a little off. idk if it just happened a little fast or if it didnt seem like there was enough fire behind it, but its bugged me the whole time.
overall i just feel like this book redid a lot of the same issues and i get it, i do; certain things led up to the events in this book that needed to come out and be dealt with, but the ways that they were dealt with just felt very surface. i feel like hazard and somers need to have a good, honest discussion about things, but since they wont do that they need to have an all out screaming match where everything comes out and its all on the table once and for all, and then they need to deal with it by talking bc if they keep doing this im actually going to end up going insane. oh my god
the writing is good tho which is why it gets such a high rating for me <3 i really enjoy the way the author explores different aspects of the characters and their relationship, and while its vvv frustrating at times i do like seeing how he works things out

so much of this book was stressful. like if they would just fucking talk about things but nooooooo, no they cant do that because that would be smart and rational </3 instead they need to act like children and fight about every little thing that happens in their lives 😒 like just have an angry fuck and get everything out there in the open. talk. be angry. god just fucking do something instead of going around in circles omg 😭
it does get better later on but man...man!!! they will resolve problems in one book and then they fall back into not talking again like please stop with the whole 'one step forward to steps back' thing please. please for the love of god...

if i need to experience another book with hazard being depressed im actually going to go insane. go to therapy pls pls pls...bestie u need it. you and somers both, actually. therapy. counselling. anything where they talk abt their feelings and dont IMMEDIATELY fuck afterwards. oh my god. like i get it, i do, but hazard has experienced more death and trauma than anyone should and somers needs to learn how to not always be a little bitch

but also thank fucking GOD that emery quit being a detective at the end 🙏 i think 6 near death experiences in less than a years time, in addition to falling in love with the boy who tortured you in high school as fucking well as finding out the truth (the true truth btw, not just what he THINKS is the truth) about the first boy he ever loved is more than enough for one man. like literally...its time he gets a break. and some therapy. jesus fucking christ does he need therapy.
also i think somers needs therapy too bc if he whines one more time abt how hazard will never love him bc of their past...i might actually scream. good lord man........
