Very well written but I was having a hard time with some of the content and pacing. 

Not for me. I wasn’t really able to get into it. 

All the respect to Talaga’s writing and research, but I am unable to finish it, at this time, due to the difficulty of the content. 

I just wasn’t in the mood. 

I skimmed a lot of it. I found the content difficult. I realize I knew it wouldn’t be a lighthearted read, but the sex and self-abuse was more than I could continue to read. 

It just wasn’t for me. 

I started it but, personally, had a hard time getting into it. The political aspects were difficult to follow. It just wasn’t for me, but might be for you!

Hmmm I’m not sure what has happened. I desperately wanted to love it, but I feel like I am trudging through the story. I believe it is the wrong fit for me at this time. 

My lending period ended, and I have a lot others ideas like to read. 

I was hoping for a mystery but I’m 35% in and nothing has really happened except the book is missing…
