It was darker than I anticipated. I think I wasn’t I quite the right mood. 

I DNFed the audiobook. It was just not the right time for this book for me. I’m going to comeback to it again in the future. (For some reason there was no DNF option when updating my progress). 

I was having difficulty getting into it. Probably bad timing. I’ll try it as an audiobook sometime. 

I wasn’t really drawn into the story. I don’t tend to like infidelity trope so that didn’t help but it’s just not the right fit for me at this time. I love Kristin Hannah though, so this is just an anomaly. 

Honestly, I was bored. It started out well, but then it was dragging. I thought I might skim until I was more invested but now I don’t know why I’m doing that. I know a lot of people loved it but it wasn’t for me. 

I really liked the original trilogy, but I’ve often had difficulty getting into the subsequent shopaholics. I enjoy almost all of her standalones though. This just wasn’t the right read for me right now.
