Initial reaction: I loved it! It could have been five stars if it wasn’t for that bomb in the epilogue!
I absolutely loved this book. It was nothing like I expected but it was super duper cute and fluffy. I think I would have read it a lot faster if I wasn’t trying to annotate and tan the whole time.

I love dragons.
That’s the whole reason I read this book and honestly and I actually enjoyed it a lot lol.
I liked the teasing from our spicy dragon Kael and how he worshiped our MC from the moment he met her. I found Claudia to be fine, a little bit annoying but I guess she handled her situation well enough.
There was just enough plot to keep it interesting, because let’s be honest, we don’t pick up books with covers like this expecting iambic pentameter XD
I’ll be honest…. I would read book two!

I was expecting to much more from this book. All the others only got better as they went but I thought there would a lot more answers but honestly we didn’t get much more THE END.
I liked the fluffy moments between the Bonded as usual. However individually I felt like the men dissolved as individuals in this book.
Also we never got any real answer as to what was driving this whole conflict, how the god bonds got there and their purpose, etc. it was all very “just because I said so” lol
Also I really thought the last battle/confrontation with the Pain god would be more… I intense? Oli and her bond group were just too powerful for this conflict to even be believable. Nothing truly challenged them.
All of this was wrapped up in the last 80 pages of the book iand I just felt so unsatisfied :(

No I don’t think you understand… I’m OBSESSED!
I was supposed to be buddy reading this with my two of my friends and I’m ashamed to say… I flew ahead and completed it in 24 hours.
I was charmed by Tessa Dare’s writing from page one. It was illogical and entirely inevitable at the same time.
The whole idea of this book was absurdly romantic. I absolutely love how sweet it is. Every moment is so tender and pure. Logan and Maddie are so adorable together and on their own as individuals.
Maddie was a perfect historical romance heroine. She was a woman of her time and yet she was driven, independent, logical and still romantic, and soft.
Logan’s desire for family and love and to give him men a home they deserved after the war was such a wholesome motivation. I loved finally hearing him admit how Maddie’s letters affected him physically and emotionally.
This book was also hilarious! One scene in particular made me laugh, possible as much as I ever had in a book. It’s the scene with the poem for those who have read it. I hope you laughed as much as I did. I had literal (and I so mean that literally) tears in my eyes.
Finally, the s p I c e. Oh yes there is spice but honestly I found the anticipation, the slow burn, to be the sexiest part.
Overall this is mt first book by Tessa Dare but I endorse her books from here on! Read for a laugh, a sweet love, and steamy romance.
P.S. OMG I ALMOSF FORGOT TO GIVE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER GRANT A SHOUT OUT!

Favorite book in the series so far!! I feel like we got the most growth from all of the characters in this book.
I am obsessed with Oli’s dynamic with each of her bonds. I was SO HAPPY that Gabe really started coming into his own as well. I hope we see more of him because I feel like he’s the one bond that gets neglected a little bit compared to the others. Although I’ve been feeling like Atlas has been forgotten about in this one a little.
We’re building up to something with Nox too and I’m so excited!
Finally, there is someone bigger and badder than Silas Davies behind the Resistance. Someone with the power to inflict pain and probably has void eyes.
Also that ending!
Current Bond Ranking (how can I choose?!):
1. Gryphon
2. North
3. Gabe
4. Atlas
5. Nox
This is so hard to do now. I think Gryphon has been the most consistent, always in my top two! Atlas was holding the ranks for so long, but he just hasn’t been getting enough page time these days.
I also have a feeling that Nox could soar ahead in book 5.

I am SHOOKETH!
I knew there would be betrayal in this book but it still HURTS!
But also, Oli bonded with two more of her Bonds so really can I ask for anything more?
I’m STILL waiting for more information on Nox because I know he’s the most complicated Bond, but I’m dying to know and for him to get the love he deserves. I think he and Oli are perfect for each other they just haven’t figured it out yet.
Current Bong Ranking:
1. North
2. Gryphon
3. Atlas
4. Gabe
5. Nox
WOW North really flew to the top in this one. Unfortunately that means Gabe has dropped to fourth and he does not belong there but I don’t know what else to do! Honestly we’re at the point I can barely pick favorites anymore.

Okay okay YES! This is what I was hoping for when I picked up the first book. A bunch of hot sexy men worshipping our MC.
Also the plot is really picking up outside of the romance. I’m super intrigued about the bond tampering going on with the resistance and that ending!! I’m so excited about the cliffhangers in this series. It’s so good.
I’m obsessed with Brutus and August, my little puppy nightmares.
New ranking right now:
1. Gryphon (obsessed honestly)
2. Atlas
3. Gabe
4. North
5. Nox

For some reason I enjoyed this book.
The writing is not challaneging and is pretty basic but there is just something addictive about the characters and plot that I’m here for.
Ranking the Bonds for now:
1. Atlas
2. Gryphon
3. Gabe
4. North (just a dick rn)
5. Nox (he has a lot to make up for)

I originally read this book in its first draft on wattpad and I loved it. When I saw the author had self-published I HAD to buy and support her and of course I had to read it all again!
I love Jake and Alex. I think Alex is sexy, and elegant and intelligent (when she wants to be) and Jake is sexy, and dark and emotional (when he wants to be).
I will say I remembered this book having a bit more of the “mafia” plot to it, although I’m not sure if that’s the right word for it. However, apart from the prologue and the epilogue there is no real insight into Jake’s job or “business”. Alex doesn’t really get involved in it and since this is from her perspective I suppose it makes sense it doesn’t really come up much. Still I do wish there was little more action.
As for the another type of “action”… oh boy there is PLENTY of that. I’m stark contrast I honestly did not remember this book being SO spicy! There is a lot of spice. I love some good spice, but I’m excited for the next book because I think that one will have more growth for Alex and Jake’s relationship outside the bedroom.
Overall I absolutely enjoyed this read! I would recommend to those who like spice, romance, bad boys, but I would not call this “dark romance” these days and I mean that as a compliment because while there is some violence mentioned there is very little scene. And Jake never hurts Alex or threatens to hurt her at all. Thank god. He loves her because he’s a smushy lil puppy for her on the inside.
