So so much fun! I had a great time reading this. I read it on wattpad a few years ago and when I saw the author was now and Indie author I had to buy it and support!
I love Cooper and Hayley. They are SO cute together and Cooper is such a good guy.
There were some high stakes in this book they actually are over about half way through the boom but I enjoyed the second half waiting for them to fully commit to each other.
This book is a 5 star wattpad read but a 3 star on Amazon. I loved it, but there were quiet a spelling and formatting errors, but I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a shifter romance!

This was the book that got me into reading when I was younger. I have no doubt it was the beginning of the fantasy obsession that would come to be in the future. I found it a few weeks ago and I’m a moment of wondering what I should read next I just picked it up.
I loved it. I hope one day to read it to my daughter and that she may love it as much as I do.

I am blown away by this book. I loved the first book and I have a feeling that it could only get better from there but my expectations were even surprised by Vow of Thieves.
This book is literally everything I have ever wanted in a book. I was gasp and grasping at every turn. I could not predict the next page for the life of me and I loved every heart stopping, breath taking, pulse pounding moment of it. I am salivating over it!
The romance. Jase and Kazi are my LOVES. I adore them so much. They went through a lot together and they deserve happiness. Jase is a brave, protective, loving, loyal man. Kazi is fierce and driven and yet tender and loving too. I just worship both of them together.
The villain in this story was pretty good. I hated him. So… mission accomplished I guess haha
But the STAKES WERE SO HIGH! Lives, towns, secrets, the UNIVERSE was a stake here! 24/7. There was barely a moment in this book that something incredible wasn’t going down. I am obsessed.
I’m a big fan of setting the scene and descriptions so I loved this writing style. It was also full heart and emotions.
A new all time favorite for me. I wish I’d read it soon and yet I wish I could read it from the beginning for the first time again. Either way had to stay up till 2:35 am to finish it :)

I loved this book. I have been CRAVING this book and I didn’t even know it.
This book has everything I love. Action, world building, side characters that I care about. But most importantly, it has enemies to lovers that literally burn for each other!
Kazi is badass. I love her. She’s smart and tricky and passionate and KIND. Jase is all of things too and they get along so well.
I finally had that literal tension in my chest waiting for what was to come next. I’m so excited to read the next book!

I am astounded by how much better this book was than the first one. I feel like the author’s writing improved so much.
Additionally the plot and characters grew so much in this one. I felt like they were much more developed and I cared about them more as a result.
I didn’t think I’d continue this series after this book but I think I might now!

Solid three stars because my toxic trait is reading mafia books. I don’t think this is the best one I read but it’s not the worst either.
I honestly feel like I barely know the characters after reading almost 400 pages. Additionally, there was barely any dialogue, not even between the main couple outside of threatening each other. The only way they conversed was through a few thinly veiled text messages.
The whole book I knew that whatever Tristain’s reason was for hating her had to be out of her control and nothing would be enough to justify it for me. I was right. Except my surprise came from Morana also realizing that. That final show down between the two of them was the best scene and I was so glad she did it.
I think the second book will really build on their relationship. I hope it improves and that the writing improves with it.
I will also admit that I started this series so I could read Dante and Amara’s story because I saw some snippets that intrigued me. Still holding out for that one.

I love when a book surprises me and this book certainly did. I expected it to be surface level, cheesy romcom that really leaned into the porn aspect in an erotic way. While I was right that it was definitely an erotic romcom centered around porn, it was also so much more that that!
I actually feel like I learned a lot reading this book. I learned about sexual pleasure but also a bit about the porn industry and some struggles that the characters face that are probably similar to what real performers go through.
I think the idea of Shameless as a website is AMAZING. I’m not sure if anything exists like that these days but definitely not on a scale that it should as I have never heard of one.
I found the dialogue between Josh and Clara to be witty and fun from page one! I loved the progression of their relationship and the way they both slowly realized that they weren’t just lustfully obsessed but actually in love with each other.
I wasn’t super bothered by their fears and worries and insecurities about how their relationship would work like I would be with other miscommunication tropes. It made sense here for both characters to question each other based off their own life experiences.
I didn’t find Clara to be a little too judgmental. My heart broke for Josh at least twice when she rejected him. I wish Clara had apologized to him more than he apologized to her. She has some strong prejudices against adult performers, which she works through (mostly) but I think her judgements are supposed to represent society’s general view. So many people consume porn but how would they treat the people who star in it in real life?
Did I mention it was also just sexy? The author got creative with her sexy scenes and built SO MUCH TENSION. Loved it.
Overall I really enjoyed this book! And a have a few friends in mind to lend my copy to.

I was struggling to pick a book to be my first read of 2023 and then I remembered this one and decided it was the prefect reread, pick-me-up to start the year.
This book is like a collection of inspirational quotes and I honestly just enjoy reading it out loud to myself. It feels like self-affirmations and makes me a little emotional.
The whole thing is a metaphor for life. Each character embodies an emotion, insecurity, or fear we all have as humans. One of my favorite dialogues is:

The whole thing is a metaphor for life. Each character embodies an emotion, insecurity, or fear we all have as humans. One of my favorite dialogues is:
“Sometimes I want to say I love you all,” said the mole, “but I find it difficult.”
“Do you?” said the boy.
“Yes, so I say something like I’m glad we’re all here.”
“Ok.” Said the boy.
“I’m glad we’re all here.”
Like that makes me swell with emotion every time. I would literally tattoo this on my body. It’s so simple but it says so much.
As an artist though, my favorite part of this book is the illustrations. They’re so raw and illicit even more emotion from me than the words. Often the drawings don’t even have words to accompany them, they just speak for themselves.
Maybe it’s cheating to count this as my first book of the year, but I don’t care. This year is one I’m dedicating to myself and this book feels like it was dedicated to all of us.

I read this book 2015 and gave it 5 stars. I loved it so much. I loved the writing style, the romance, Juliette.
This time around, I’m not as in love. I see this as a great introduction to characters. I think we’re already set up for such great growth that I know is coming. Not a lot of world building or plot, but since there are 6 books and a bunch of novellas I’m not worried about that.
To be honest, it was a little slower than I remembered. I’m more critical of our male mcs too. Warner seems like a real psycho and Adam seems… just like a classic YA love interest.
BUT needless to say I did enjoy it a lot. I’m a LOT older than I was when I read it the first time. I’m no longer the target audience at 23. Still, I’m super excited to see how the story progresses past the original three books I read. I want to see how Madi’s writing develops too because she has written these books over the course of a DECADE. I’m sure she’s taught herself and learnt so much since this first book.
