WOW!!

We briefly met our main characters, Courtney and Max, in Ms Edwards' book Wait for Morning (Book 1 in the Sniper 1 Security series) - but you can read this without having read it.

Courtney is from a family of Good Guys (Sniper 1). Whilst on assignment she met one of the Bad Guys, Max Adorite, second in charge of the Southern Boy Mafia.

In Wait For Morning, it was mentioned that she knows Max, but that is about it. Boy, did she know him! And as we learn more about them, you will want to know him too.

Max is the bad guy, who it seems has a heart of gold. As I read, at times it was hard to believe he really could be the cold hearted mafia man, and it was not hard to lose my heart to him.

Beautifully Brutal is written in past and present tense, so we get plenty of their back story. The too and fro of it all. They know they are bad for each other, but the pull to each other, the attraction, the feelings keep bringing them back together. I particularly felt for Courtney - I think it must have been so much harder for her jumping from the right side of the law to hook up with the mafia bad boy.

The heat between them is undeniable, but can that be enough?

Courtney swallowed hard, her eyes traveling over his face, taking in every inch of him, reliving every moment they'd ever spent together as it flashed through her mind. It'd always been like this... Their interactions were heated, passionate, and innately sexual underneath it all.

Beautifully brutal, that was how she'd come to think of this thing between them.

It also turns out that Max and Courtney are already kind of connected, though I don't want to say why. Way before they ever met there were things that happened that neither of them know about, and put a different spin on things.

As events unfold, Max and Courtney are going to have to trust each - but can they? Is there more to them than just sex? Or will events cause them a world of hurt?

This felt like a new direction with Ms Edwards' writing. Not sure what it was about it, but it felt different to all the other series of hers that I have read and loved. Yes, there is still all that sexiness and heat that we know and love her for, but this was like a whole different style from her. And I loved it!

I am really looking forward to more of the Southern Boy Mafia series. I need Leyton's story ASAP!

It's here! It's here! Dr Noah Taylor's story is finally here!

#TeamWalkingDildo!!

I have loved the Bliss series since I first stumbled upon Temporary Bliss, and all through the series, I have been waiting for Noah's story.

And I was definitely not disappointed.

I always knew that it was going to take a special kind of woman to bring "The Walking Dildo" to his knees - and I was right - I think ????? is Ahhh-mazing!

She is smart, sassy, a bit of a smart arse - the kind of woman I would want to be friends with.

And that Noah can't get enough of her right from the start - swoon.

Of course, the road to true happiness and love is never a smooth one, and it also does not help when you have the friends that Noah and his lady have.

One of the best things about this series is the relationships - platonic and romantic - amongst this group of friends. Ms Harvey has a way that just makes you want to jump right into the middle of these friends and beg them to make you one of theirs.

As their lives are all so intertwined, we got a glimpse into the lives of our other couples after where their stories ended - I always love this, like a peeping tom lurking in the bushes, taking a sneaky peek through the windows.

Right from the start there is heat, attraction between our former man-whore and the woman who has him enthralled.

I can't wait for you to find out who she is!!!

I thorougly enjoy Ms Harvey's writing. The story flowed seamlessly, I laughed, I cried (a little!), I was fully invested in this book.

The only thing wrong with Finding Bliss? It ended.

I do hope that someday, we get to know more of Noah's brother Matt - I think his would be an interesting story!

3.5 stars.

I was asked by Ms Jocoby to read and review Broken, and after reading the synopsis I was intrigued.

I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with the characters, Nick and Scotty.

Scotty - gah, I just wanted to shake some sense into her. Yes, things had happened in her past that made her gunshy when it comes to men, but then shutting every single man out of her life, leading to coming a lonely, lonely woman - when she needn't be.

Nick - at times he went from sexy, successful architect to 13 year old girl with a first crush. It was like he lost his man card at times. And grrr he bitches about the kind of woman he wants, then gets lead around by the short and curlies by the women he says he doesn't want.

No wonder Scotty was hesitant!!

But these could be just me.

I enjoyed the story line, though a couple of times the timeline felt jumpy as we switched POVs. The dual POVs did not bother me though, as they sometimes do.

There were some great secondary characters, who gave dimension to our MCs, and then there were those ones that we just have to hate. Yep, sure did hate this one!

It took a little while for me to connect with both MCs, but as the story continued, I began to feel more in tune with them - even though they frustrated the crap out of me!

Just as I was reaaaally getting into it, and it seemed like our MC's had got their crap together .... things happen and we are left with a cliffhanger.

This did intrigue me enough that I want to read the next books.

Oh it was wonderful - albeit bittersweet - to get back into the world of Power Station. Back Stage is the last book in this series, and what a fitting end it is.

Jason has always been in the background, but now is his time to shine. And oh does he shine.

When a blast form his past Angie (and her band) comes on tour with Power Station , you just know that things are going to be explosive.

After a shared past, Angie is full of venom and snark. and all aimed at our boy Jase. I could completely understand her feelings, but man oh man, the way those feelings come out of her - I think I have a bit of a girl crush on her!

All is not as it seems, and whilst yes we get a lot of the laughs and fun times with Power Station, Back Stage has more of a darker vibe through it. Just when you think you know why things happened as they did - BOOM - we are lead in a completely different direction.

And all the while, the sexual tension and chemistry between Jason and Angie is off the charts. I swear you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. And it just makes things all the much hotter between them.

Back Stage is a rollercoaster of a ride, my emotions went from high to low along with our lovelies

I loved that we got more of the rest of the Power Station boys. Dan still cracks me up - he is 12 year old boy in a man's body. The closeness of all the men and their families, it really is like a family not just a band and a job.

I have enjoyed every minute of the Power Station ride, and I look forward to what Ms Gephart has for us next.

I adored the previous m/m book by Melissa Collins that I had read, so the chance to read her latest was a no brainer.

Repaired is a beautiful love story that I was hooked on from the moment I started reading.

I love a good "opposites attract" story, and that is exactly what Ms Collins has given us here.

Liam and Parker could not come from two more vastly different backgrounds, but that just makes their attraction the sweeter. Everything that seems to be wrong about each other, only makes it all the more right.

There is a bit of darkness in the background of Repaired, and as we learn more, my heart just broke even more for Dylan. His past is still haunting him, affecting his present and future. I adored how Parker, in his own ways, got Liam through the darkness.

At one stage, the story took a turn that I was certainly not expecting, and loved how things played out. Brought a great big smile to my dial!

I have loved everything that I have read of Ms Collins, but I have to say, she really has a knack for writing m/m romances.

And I hope we keep getting more.

Can't wait to see what she has for us next

A new Carmen Jenner series about rock stars?

If you have read Ms Jenner's Sugartown series, you will have already met Cooper Ryan -he's Holly's ex, and her baby-daddy.  This being said, you do not need to have read the Sugartown books to read Revelry.

To say that Ali's life the past year has been a bit of a crap-fest would be an understatement.  So when she gets the opportunity to tour with Taint for 3 months, get her foot in the door for the dream job,the career she wants, I had to shake my head when she fights it - gah, woman!  Seriously, how many times in our lives do these opportunities drop in our laps.

I adore the boys in the band - even though they are a big bunch of man-whoring douchebags a lot of the time!  Though still, a day after finishing reading, I have mixed feelings about Levi.  Do I love him or loathe him - nope, still can't decide.

As much as Cooper and Ali hate each other, you know that there is that spark, that undercurrent of attraction - who can fight that?

There is a lot of rude, crude and lewd talk amongst them all.  But that all leads to some smoking hot action - often involving more than 2 people!

There are a lot of funny scenes in Revelry, some involving bodily fluids and personal grooming.

While at times I did laugh out loud, there were so, so many times that I shed a tear.

Right from the start, my heart ached for Ali, but as events unfold, it downright broke for her - over and over.

So, can Ali and Coop make a go of things?  What happens when things that happen on the tour bus don't stay on the tour bus.

Nope, for that you are going to have to find out for yourself.  Just keep the batteries and the tissues handy!

Ms Jenner has just become another dealer for my rock star addiction, andI can't wait to see how the rest of this series plays out.

Obsidian Liquor is the first book/novella in the Lion Security series, and that being said, it does take a while to get into it, as there are so many new characters being introduced.

But once I got into it, I could not put it down.

Elizabeth - the reporter, and Daniil - the mafia boss, really have nothing in common, except for their attraction to each other. I mean, who hasn't gotten blind rolling drunk and ended up in a strangers bed - or at least wanted to!

And that attraction leads to some hot, hot, hot action!

It is not all action between the sheets though. There is a darker undercurrent that runs through this story that gives our characters an edge.

There were a couple of things I wish we got more of. There was something we learn from Elizabeth that I was hoping we would hear more of, heck I needed to know more of! Maybe, just maybe, Ms Dawn might look back during later installments of this series and throw us a bone!

I am hoping we get more of Elizabeth and Daniil in the next book, as I felt that their story was just beginning as the book ended.

I have to say, I am not a huge fan of novella series, but Ms Dawn is one of the few exceptions that I will always read.

Now looking forward to the next book.

Remember that guy/girl at school that made your life miserable? Picking on you, getting their friends to pick on you?

And remember how your mum always said "they are probably picking on your because they like you"?

What would you do if 12 years down the track, that person came back into your life.

That is what happens to Rafi when Isaac walks - well barges, back into his life.

I adored how relentless Isaac was in his pursuit of Rafi. His honesty in saying what he wants. Though it did bug me a bit that he never really showed any remorse for his actions in high school, never really apologised. He should have been down on his knees (not like that!) and grovelling.

And yes, it does feel very stalkerish, and I know it will not be for everybody. But at the end of the day, it is a story. Fiction.

However, I liked how, with the luxury of hindsight, Rafi can see how things may have been if he had looked at them a different way.

As this is a short novella (17k words), of course everything seems to move at warp speed, but truthfully, it did not bother me.

I am not going to lie - I have had the first book in this series, Dragon's Lair sitting on my bookshelf for months, and I really did not have an intention of reading it. I am a bit over the MC club genre, and have pretty much stopped reading them.

When Arrow's Hell arrived in my mail box, I bit the bullet and started the series.

And now I am kicking myself for not reading it earlier!

There was just something about this Wind Dragons series that has sucked me in right from the start. Whilst Arrow's Hell is the second in the series, it could be read as a stand alone if you have not had a chance to read Dragon's Lair - but why would you want to miss out?

Arrow's Hell continues on 5 years after Dragon's Lair, and even though Arrow's story continues on from events in the first book, there is enough information to get you through and you won't feel like you are missing much.

I have adored Arrow from the first time I met him - cooking naked! A bit of a smart arse, funny as heck, such a big personality in the Wind Dragons MC. As much as you want to roll your eyes at him at times, you can't help but lose your heart to him.

He is a different man when we meet him again in Arrow's Hell, and my heart broke for him.

Enter Anna, his club-brother Rake's sister. The unrequited lust she feels for Arrow is tangible. And everyone knows about it - how embarrassment!

I LOVE Anna. I love that she says what is on her mind, doesn't always win the fight to keep her mouth shut. And the trouble she gets herself into because of this.

I adore how she and Rake are with each other, and how the club brings her right into the fold of the Wind Dragons family.

And family is what they are. Family is what you make it, not just blood. And as badass as this family can be, there is so much love and caring amongst the brothers and the ladies.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who I was doing a buddy read with, as there was a big twist in the tale that just had me saying

I sure as sh*t did not see that one coming!

So, can Anna be the one to break through the walls that Arrow has built around his heart? Or will hers be the heart breaking this time?

Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

I loved that we got more of Dex and Faye, Tracker and the other brothers. Tracker has been my favourite since I started this series, so I was glad that we got a bit more into his story, ready for his book, Tracker's End.

Can't wait for more Wind Dragons!
