This is the second book I have read of Ms Clifton's and again I was not disappointed with New Year's Promise.
This is a sweet friends to lovers romance that will have your heart beating faster as our main characters struggle into their new relationship.
Justin and Ellie have admiring each other from afar for years and when circumstances bring them back in close proximity, the sparks between them fly.
I loved the relationships between Ellie, Justin and their families. Sometimes your childhood friends will leave your life and be nothing but a distant memory, and sometimes those friends will be the closest family you will ever have, and that's how it is with these guys.
But when someone from their childhood comes back into their lives again, you never know what the consequences will be.
I swear I read the last 1/3 of this book through tears!
Ms Clifton has a way of writing that draws you right into the story. The imagery makes me feel like I am right in there with the characters (and Sydney being my home town I can picture the places she is writing about).
And in this day and age where so many books are just filled with sex sex and more sex, she proves that you can write a wonderful romance that has nothing more than a few sensual kisses.
I look forward to what she has for us next.

I have read many works from Ms Johnson and have enjoyed them, however I am a little wary when an author dips their toes into the m/m genre (I am a huuuuuuge m/m fan)
But I should have known that Ms Johnson would not fail me!
David and Austin's story is of loss, hope, self discovery, love.
Writing in dual POVs, both characters are written in such a way that they have their distinctive styles, and you are not left having to check who is supposed to be talking to us - something that happens all too often with differing POVs.
Austin is stronger than he thinks. After all that happens to him, he still holds his head high and makes something of himself.
David - I just loved David. He is strong, tender, loving. I got right in his head from the start and just adored him.
I hope Ms Johnson keeps writing m/m, and can't wait to see what she has for us next.

This is the 3rd book in the Tangled Web series, and it is by far my favourite!
Kiefer and Heather come from such different backgrounds, but their differences are what make them perfect for each other.
I loved this friends to lovers romance, but especially loved that that it didn't come easy to them, they had to fight their insecurities to get what they wanted.
The sexual chemistry between this pair is through the roof - as you will find out pretty darn early in the piece! Hose me down cos it is hot!!
I loved that we got to see more of the characters from the first two books, and come on, who doesn't love a good ol' rock star??
I also love the realism in Ms Jamison's books. Things are not always hearts and flowers, people do have demons from their past that cast shadows over their futures. There is sex and drugs and rock and roll.
I particularly liked the way Heather's demons are dealt with in Seal All Exits. They are things your best friends, your sister could be dealing with.
Now eagerly awaiting what Ms Jamison has for us next.....

I am a bit on the fence with how to rate Bad Romeo.
Whilst I liked the premise of the "star crossed" lovers in Ethan and Cassie, and I did like the storyline, something about it just irked me.
Ethan and Cassie both irritated me. Ethan is an arrogant douchebag no matter how you read him, and Cassie - gah - grow a spine girl and stop being a guy's doormat.
I am all for angsty relationships in my books but gees louise this one drove me bonkers! For the first 25-30% I was right in there with our MC's, but then for the next 40% of the book it was like a revolving door or "I love him I want to touch his penis" "I'm no good for you girl" "I hate him", neither of them move on it was just round and round.
I also got a little bit confused at times with whether I was in the past or present tense. The timeframe shifted every couple of chapters, and as what was happening at both times was similar I had to check the chapter headings to see when I was.
And then the last say 15% I got right back into things in the present. Then BAM - it just ended. I know this is the first in the Starcrossed series, so a cliffhanger was not unexpected. Butis not even really like a cliffhanger, as a cliffy leaves you with some sense of where the story will go. This just ended. I kept hitting my kindle screen to go to the next page!
Bad Romeo did have some good lines though. I laughed out loud and highlighted a few scenes along the way.
So if you are a fan of angsty, heartbreaky NA romances (of sorts) then Bad Romeo is a book for you.
I will probably read the next one just to see where things go.

Wow... A Broken Us kicks you in the gut right from the first chapter.
Finley (Fin) and Brody have a wonderful love, a love for the ages. An "us" that cannot be broken.
But as the title suggest, it does get broken - and it will break the reader at the same time.
Once I started reading I could not put it down. From the heartbreaking start right through to the last word I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster, taken through every high and every low of their relationship.
I could understand why things happened the way they did, but I also wanted to scream at our loves to stop acting so stupid and to get their act together.
Particularly Fin, I felt that her actions were quite selfish, and though I know they were for self preservation. Made my heart break for Brody even more.
I may have read a fair bit of it through my tear too - because gees the hits just kept coming!
There are some great secondary characters, especially Leslie and Frank.
I enjoyed Ms Daws writing. I felt that the story flowed, was well paced and kept me hooked. So much that I read A Broken Us in one sitting.
This is the first work of Amy Daws that I have read, but I am keen to read more of the London Lovers series in the future.

Earlier this year I read Devil and Denim, so when Angel in Armani became available of course I was going to read it.
And I liked it - a lot. I liked it better than Devil In Denim.
I love the tension between our Angel, Lucas Angelo and his helicopter pilot Sara Charles. Right from the start the sparks fly between them and you just know when these two get together it is going to be hot.
And it is. Though the outcome was not what you expect!
I love how Lucas chases her - he knows what he wants and is going all out to get it. I love that there isn't the insta-love relationship between them. Sure, all for the instant lust, but I loved how they had to fight for their relationship. Nothing worth having comes easy and this pair fight tooth and nail for what's good.
I can understand Sara's hesitance, but then I think, really? This is why you are holding back? Gah, I wanted to send her to have her head read lol.
Of course we got more of our characters from the first book, Alex and Maggie, and the elusive Mal. I adore the "terrible trio".
Now I can't wait to see what Ms Scott has in store for us with Mal's story - because I think it is going to be fun being taken along for the ride when he meets the woman that is going to bring him to his knees.

I won this series months ago, and I am only just getting around to reading them all.
These are a cute series about a college girl recruited into the CIA - though I am not a huge NA reader (this is mostly due to my age and the age of the characters, they are all a little young for this old bird!!)
I liked the storyline and the characters - though I wanted to yell at Elle to stop being a doormat for everyone (though she finally did, thankfully).
I was interested to see where things would go with the hottie CIA guy Preston and to see where Elle's life would go.
Gotta say, her boy Adam was a douche of the highest degree - I didn't like him at all!
Now on to the next book!

3.5 Stars.
I won this series months ago but it has taken me forever to finally get round to reading them, and now I am binge reading them all in one go.
This continues where Covert Assignment ended, with Elle still going through the agency recruitment process, and finally moving on with her life post college.
I loved her relationship with Preston (well, if you could call it that) though my heart broke for her at times.
I still don't like her parents. What a bunch of selfish, horrible "parents" they are. Even when things happen to them, I cannot find myself feeling sorry for them or liking them.
Things with the CIA stuff ramped up a lot in this second book, and I really liked the way Elle ended this book.
Do have a soft spot for Mason - you can kind of feel that he wants to tell her things that he can't.
Now onto book 3!!
