3.5 stars

I am a bit on the fence with how to rate Bad Romeo.

Whilst I liked the premise of the "star crossed" lovers in Ethan and Cassie, and I did like the storyline, something about it just irked me.

Ethan and Cassie both irritated me. Ethan is an arrogant douchebag no matter how you read him, and Cassie - gah - grow a spine girl and stop being a guy's doormat.

I am all for angsty relationships in my books but gees louise this one drove me bonkers! For the first 25-30% I was right in there with our MC's, but then for the next 40% of the book it was like a revolving door or "I love him I want to touch his penis" "I'm no good for you girl" "I hate him", neither of them move on it was just round and round.

I also got a little bit confused at times with whether I was in the past or present tense. The timeframe shifted every couple of chapters, and as what was happening at both times was similar I had to check the chapter headings to see when I was.

And then the last say 15% I got right back into things in the present. Then BAM - it just ended. I know this is the first in the Starcrossed series, so a cliffhanger was not unexpected. Butis not even really like a cliffhanger, as a cliffy leaves you with some sense of where the story will go. This just ended. I kept hitting my kindle screen to go to the next page!

Bad Romeo did have some good lines though. I laughed out loud and highlighted a few scenes along the way.

So if you are a fan of angsty, heartbreaky NA romances (of sorts) then Bad Romeo is a book for you.

I will probably read the next one just to see where things go.
