This is the 4th book in the "Not Quite" series by Catherine Bybee, but can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the first three books in the series - yet! - and I did not feel I missed anything.
Dakota Lauren is an uber-successful romance writer - with no romance in her life. I guess when you write happy ever afters your expectations are going to be high for what you want in real life?
You know what I loved most about Dakota Lauren? I loved that we got a glimpse - kinda - into a romance writer's head. Wonder if she is at all based on our Ms Bybee here???
Dr Walt Eddy doesn't want love or a relationship. No time, no inclination. As a worker with Borderless Doctors (think Doctors Without Borders) he is all about saving others.
When these two's world's collide there is sparks and maybe, just maybe, they could be just what the other is looking for.
I did have to chuckle at a scene with Dr Walt at a book convention. I have been to signings and have seen the way ladies are around the cover models so this made it all the more hilarious while reading!
Then again, when it is a hotty like Dr Sexy Walt, who could blame a woman?
I was so glad that this was not an easy relationship for Dakota and Walt. Sure I get the insta-lust, but I can't stand it when a couple goes from meeting to I love You in 3.5 seconds. Both our characters are flawed, have their dramas from their past that are affecting them and their relationships today. I loved being taken along for the ride as they deal with past actions, move on with life and maybe, just maybe, fall in love.
I gotta say, I was not a fan of Dakota's parents, especially her witch of a mother! Worried about her social standing rather than her daughter - grrrr makes me mad!! I wanted to give a big middle finger salute to her!
So do the sexy doctor and sexy author get it together? Is there a HEA just like she writes about in their future?
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
Ms Bybee write a sweet, funny romance like no one else. I have read quite a few of her books and I have never been disappointed yet.
If you are after a quick, sweet, fun read, then give Not Quite Forever a go.

You will need to have read books 1 and 2 in this series, Enthrall and Enthrall Her before you read Enthrall Him.
Enthrall Him starts up right where Enthrall Her ended. Mia is hiding from Lance, the man who “bought” her and wants to claim his prize. Mia, Richard and Cameron are still going around in circles in their messed up relationship.
And what a messed up relationships they are. Mia – Richard’s girlfriend – has been handed over to Cameron – Richard’s best friend – to complete her submissive training.
And no wonder Mia’s emotions are all confused!! Hell, I was all confused along with her as the story moved along!
I have a love/hate relationship with Cameron and Richard. I love that they both care for Mia – maybe even both love her – but I hate the way they manipulate her, mess with her head and her heart, even if they don’t mean to. It should be all about Mia and Richard, it’s mean to be all about Mia and Richard, but couldn’t help but be pulled to Cameron more and more.
Loved that we final get to scratch below the surface with Cameron, he has always been so closed off, but now we learn more of what makes him the man he is today
Like the rest of the books in this series, the BDSM lifestyle plays a huge part in the lives of Mia, Richard and Cameron, and it is quite graphic at times – not a bad thing I like my sexy times in books sexy!!!
I loved how they all went about confronting the threat to Mia, and was surprised at the outcome of it – was not what I had expected!
There are some great secondary characters. I loved that we got more of Mia’s best friend Bailey and her girlfriend Tara. And Shay. Shay, Shay, Shay. For a while it is hard to tell if he is a good guy or a bad guy to Mia, but the more we get of him the more I loved him.
Ms Fewings – Shay needs a book!!
So, how do things work out with our trio? Who will Mia end up with, or will she end up with neither?
Nuh uh, for that you need to read for yourself.
But from me, I think it ended up the way it had to, needed to!
Ms Fewings writes in a way that you can feel yourself right in the story. The imagery pulls you right in there with her characters, you can picture the sights and imagine yourself a fly on the wall while the story progresses.
Can’t wait to read what Ms Fewings has for us next

This is the 3rd book in the Friend-Zones series, and while it could be read as a stand alone, why the heck would you want to miss out on the goodness that is Friend Zoned and Love Thy Neighbour.
Since we first met Max in the first two books, I have wanted, no needed to know more about him!
Sexy, funny, and completely in love with his daughter, he makes women's ovaries explode with a smile and a wink.
Except Helena.
Helena seems immune to his hotness, seems to actually hate Max Leokov and no one knows why.
Oh wow, the attraction between these two! The sparks fly whenever they are in the same room, and you sure as hell don't want to be caught in the crossfire! You will come down with proximity lust if you do!
I could completely understand Helena's feelings, her hesitance to get involved with Max. Though I cannot confirm nor deny that I wanted to take her place!!
I loved learning more about Max and CeeCee's mum - though I wanted to slap the crap out of her grrrr. What a bitch is all I can say (cos I need to be polite on here, but I may have called her a few choice names while reading about her).
So, will Helena and Max get together? Will they get their happy ending
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
I love love LOVED that we got more of the guys and gals from the first two books. I especially loved and laughed out loud at the interactions between Helena and her sister's Nat and Nina. OMG the way they talk to each other is hilarious!
Can't forget the other guys, and of course the girls Tina, Nat and the girls of the boutique. And we needed more Nina.
And we can't forget Max's girl CeeCee. She is just a scene stealer!
The only bad thing about Sugar Rush - all the talk about cupcakes had me craving them soooooooo bad! Like seriously, I would have killed for a sweet, sweet cupcake while reading (and I was too lazy to make any for myself!!)
Ms Aurora has created a group of friends that you can't help but be envious of and want in your own life. You cannot help but fall in love with each an every one of them.
But now we need more of Nina!

what a sexy, messed up rollercoaster of a ride Perfect Plans was.
We have all had the dream to be in Aby' s place but the dream is never like the reality.
I completely agree Alex and my heart agrees for him with the so called friends around him.
Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so am lucky to have an ARC of Take a Bow ready v and waiting for me!!!

I was over the moon to receive an advanced copy of Undesired Lust. I love my rock stars, and the boys of Reckless Beat are no exception.
During the last full length novel and the Vegas novella, it was alluded to that Mason and Sidney's friendship went south fast after an incident, but we never really knew the details.
Well, now we do! And wowsers! Hose me down because that was hot!!
I have always liked Mason, even with all the smart arse talk and man-whoring around. He is more than just a rock star. There has always been that something, you knew there was more to him than that. And Sidney is that something.
My heart broke for her when we found out what had happened and what it had cost her. Ugly tears were shed. And I couldn't help but feel for her as she and Mason reconnect, knowing how much it is hurting her that she still wants him.
The sexual chemistry between Mason and Sidney is off the charts, through the roof crazy! It it like lightning whenever they are near each other. You just want them to get their crap together and practice making babies!!!
The surprise in all this for me was Sean. As the other half of the terrible twins, he surprised me a lot in Undesired Lust. Now I can't wait for his story because I just know it is going to be nothing short of amazing.
I loved that we got more of Mitch, Blake, Ryan, Leah and the rest of this motley crew. And the more I learnt about the people in Sidney's life, the more I am glad we didn't meet any of them.
There is a bit of suspense and mystery in Undesired Lust, and while I guessed who the trouble maker was pretty early on in the pieces, the where's and what for of it all kept me on the edge of my lounge right up until the end.
Thank you Ms Summers for giving us the boys and ladies of the Reckless Beat family, I can't wait for more

I was over the moon happy to receive an advanced copy of A Reason to Kill from CP Smith, and I can tell you now, I was not disappointed!
If you have read her previous two books, A Reason to Breath and Restoring Hope, you will know that she has a way with writing about sexy alpha men and the women they fall for.
And Max Hunter is the man. Logger, town protector, single till the day he dies. Until her.
Mia is just adorable. Her and her love of all things bears will be the death of him!
I love the sexual tension between them. There is a kind of love/hate thing going on there... more that they hate that they feel what they do!
I love the many "Max's" along the way... Believe me, you will too
As with all worthy relationships, things don't run smoothly for Max and Mia. We are taken on quite a ride as they try to figure out their feelings and relationship.
There is also some mystery and intrigue that stops their relationship from being all smooth sailing. I love a good whodunnit!
I get the small town vibe in A Reason To Kill. Living in a small town myself, I understand how everyone know's everyone's business, how people rely on each other for work and play, and oh yeah, can't forget that gossip mill!
I LOVED Maxine. OMG her and her cohorts are a hoot. Some of the things that they get up to are hilarious! There was more than one occasion that their antics made me laugh out loud.
So do Max and Mia find a HEA? For that you will have to read for yourself.
Now if that wasn't enough to make you want to read it, here's a bit more inspiration.

You will need to have read Perfect Plans first, as Take A Bow picks up right where book one finishes.
And what a sequel we have in Take A Bow!!
At the end of Perfect Plans I was all
how could you do this to me? How could you do this to Alex and Aby.
Take A Bow swept me away with Alex and Aby's whirlwind romance. I laughed, I smiled, I cried. I wanted to shake some sense into Alex and Aby at times, I mean really, really shake some sense into them!
But wow when this pair have their shit together, holy crap!!
I swear that girl must have walked funny for months!!! When they have their sexy times, oh boy do they have their sexy times!!
And talk about twists and turns! There were a few things unresolved from the first book that carried over into this second book, and the journey they took to get resolved was all part of the fun and games of reading.
So, can Alex and Aby overcome their miscommunications, misunderstandings and mistrust? Can they have their fairytale HEA?
For that you will have to read for yourself.
There are some fantastic secondary characters in this series. I love love LOVE Aby's best friend Stacey. She is just a hoot and had me laughing out loud more than once.
There are also some other characters, that like me you are going to hate. Seriously hate. Jump into the kindle and smash them in the face with a brick hate - I think you catch my drift!
Thank you ladies for giving us Alexander "The Great" Tate.

I absolutely adore Penny Reid's Knitting series, so it was a no-brainer when I was offered an advanced copy of Scenes from the City.
This is 5 quick stories about each of our beautiful couples.
For the first 4 stories you would need to have read the Knitting in the City books, as they are all epilogues to their stories.
I loved these little snippets into their lives post their full books. From cane toads to tasers, these stories have a bit of everything.
But the story that really made this for me was the final story which is the prologue to Fiona and Greg's story which is due for release in 2015.
This is only going to be available for a sure time, so get it while you can from 1st December 2014

I love my rockers and Jade C Jamison writes one's that I can't help but love.
I adored Erin and Riley and the relationship they are trying to forge, even though people are trying to keep them apart.
now into the next book!

You have to have read The Rhythm Of My Heart before reading Saving Our Hearts as it continues on right from the end.
In the aftermath of events at the end of The Rhythm Of My Heart, Cole and Gracie’s lives are thrown into turmoil
OMG I was having heart palpitations as this book began!! Our darlings were left in quite a position at the end of book one, and I started reading with trepidation. They have to all be ok, right?
And wowsers, what an emotional rollercoaster we are taken on in this second book.
A lot of questions from book 1 are answered in book 2. We find out who the stalker was (well, I pretty much knew who it was in the first book, but the why’s and what for’s were a mystery still).
Then there is the bitch Miranda. Gah, I wanted to throat punch her as we learn more and more about her actions – just such a nasty, nasty piece of work.
Nothing is going to be easy for Cole and Gracie and their family, but you felt like you were there as they overcame each and every hurdle.
So, do they finally get their HEA? Or will everything be to much for their love to endure?
Nope, for that you will have to read for yourself.
You can’t help but want to know what will happen to them all next.
I LOVED the development in not only our MC’s but also the secondary characters – I particularly adored Sam – aka Vagina Man.
Ms Reed has drawn me into the world of Cole, Gracie, their families and friends. The story is well rounded and developed, the characters enchanting.
I am very much looking forward to the next book.
Now Ms Reed, can you please let me know… does Dr Cole make house calls?
