Gah. cliffhangered again!! but I know I will read the next book as I need to know how this all plays out.
loved that we got to see more of Day than the 'emo bitch' he has been portrayed as and I think Sydney is my favourite female character in the series so far

Copy received from St Martin's Press via Netgalley for an honest review.
I love a book about a fighter, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire Billionaire's Club series by Ms Malone.
And I just adored Gabriel Devereaux. What is not to love about him. I loved the way he went for what he wanted, and what he has always wanted was his Kari.
It is hard in a novella length story to convey the whole story without it seeming rushed or that we are missing huge parts of the plot, but this is not the case with Ms Malone. I felt that we did not miss anything at all about Gabriel and Karina, the story was well paced, with enough of their past to make their present all make sense.
This series is the first I have read from Ms Malone, but it has defnitely left me wanting to read more.

oh my, Asher Cooper!
After the mind blowing end to Beck I was curious as to how things would play out with Ash and Chelcie.
gees did it bring on the tears! Asher' s heartache and grief is palpable. Every time I thought it would not make me tear up again, Ms Sloan brought in the bigger guns and I would cry again!
can't wait to get into the mind of the enigmatic Maddox Locke

I have been curious about Kenton Mayson since he was part of the "Until" series, and was very excited to get to his story in the new "Underground Kings" series.
Kenton has always been a bit of an enigma. What does he do for a job really? Why such mystery about it/ In his story we get right down to it and so much more.
Gotta say, Kenton is a right d*&K when we first meet him, forms his opinion and runs with it. Gah!
Autumn was a girl in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed a horrible crime, and has been sent across the country for her safety. I love Autumn. She is smart, funny, tough as nails and takes no crap from nobody. When Kenton makes his assumptions about her, she gives him a big "eff you" and walks away. I LOVED how she teased him about his assumptions and threw them back in his face - which he damn well deserved.
I love how both Kenton and Autumn work about getting past those assumptions to the real story about each other. Loved reading as they questioned and found out more about each other.
One thing these two were never lacking was sexual chemistry. Hoooeeee it is hot! Even when they didn't like each other they wanted each other. And as the reader you just wanted them to get together, knowing things would be explosive.
Assumption was told from dual POV's though mostly Autumns. I loved when we got into Kenton's mind though. As much as he was a d*&k to begin with, you can't help but love him. He is sweet, sexy, smoking hot and protective of those he loves (at times probably to the extent of being stifling? I know IRL I couldn't handle it!)
I loved that we got sneak peeks back into the lives of the Mayson boys from the "Until" series, and gotta say I love love LOVED Kenton's aunt and mum. In fact all the family just cracks me up. But these two ladies are just fantastic.
Ms Reynolds had me for this series at the end of Until Nico. And she did not disappoint. Now I am impatiently waiting for book 2, Obligation (Kai's book)

I have to say, after the firs two books in this series, I really didn't want Ben to get his HEA. I mean after all the things with Dahlia, he was on my shit list.
But Frayed changed that, I found myself hoping that Ben and Bell got their act together and really made something of their attraction. because hers the sparks between these two could ignite wet wood.
I was happy with the way this story played out. was glad that it was not easy for their relationship to form and evolve.
