Cardeno C is quickly becoming one of my favourite m/m romance authors, especially for a quick, sweet romance.
I adored Jared McFarland right from the get go. He's a sweet, shy farmer who wants that special someone in his life. You can feel his loneliness screaming off the pages, and your heart just breaks for him with it.
Lucas is a spoilt little sh!t, no other words for him. I wanted to slap his pretentious sunglasses off his pretentious face the way he acted when we first met him!
What I loved was how Jared and Lucas circled around each other, neither knowing that they were the other ones crush. I loved that Jared would not put up with any of Lucas' spoilt antics, and tells him so right up front. Rawwwr that's hot!
And you just know that when these two get their act together it is going to be hot and explosive. And boooom it sure is.
I did feel that Lucas' one-eighty from brat to caring, sharing lover was a bit quick - but then there is only so much time in a novella to get the story where it needs to go. Other than Lucas' head-spinning change, I felt that the rest of the story was very well paced and the story flowed well.
So, will Lucas stay on the farm to be with Jared, or will the fast living city lifestyle call him back? Will our boy get their HEA?
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
McFarland's Farm was a great introduction to a new series of novellas, and I will definitely be checking out more as they are released!

You will remember that we first met Dr Melonie Bird during Alluring Temptation, and found out that Melonie and Dade knew each other right at the end of that book - and wow, wasn't that explosive!!
You could read book 4 as a
Now we find out the story behind that meeting.
I loved the instant spark between Dade and Melonie... or should we call her Rayne? From the minute they saw each other across the pool it was hot hot HOT! I mean you seriously get proximity burns from being in the same room as them! The scenes on St John's were beautiful and sexy and fun.
I loved the play between them. It is not all just about the sex - which is smokin' - but they genuinely are interested in each other. But neither is 100% honest with the other, which frustrated me no end! They are so into each other, so imperfectly perfect for each other, and they are sabotaging things right from the start.
Dade is the one in his motley crew of friends who they all seek for stability. He is all about his family and friends. But Melonie has him all out of whack. I love that he is all aflutter over her. Although he is wonderful with his family, he has seemed a little aloof when it comes to relationships before, but now it is a new Dade we see. I loved the insanely jealous Dade (though in real life it would drive me insane!!)
I was so happy that they got to reconnect. Although I wanted to slap them both for being so stubborn and not talking to each other, talking out their issues, I was glad that they didn't jump straight back into what they had on the island. No matter how much they were attracted to each other, I felt that they needed to get to know each other in the "real world" to see if what they experienced on the island was more than just a fling.
So, is real life enough good for them, can they get through the differences in their lives and get the HEA they both crave?
Nuh uh you will have to read for yourself to find out.
The whole crew is back in Alluring Infatuation. All of his band mates, their partners, their friends. They are a fantastic group of friends. All up in each other's business, the first to make fun of each other, but the first and fiercest to defend each other too.
Ms Turner has created a group of people that feel extremely real to the reader. Yes, the guys may be famous, but you don't get that feeling about them, they feel like the guys you went to school with, the ones who live down the street or you see at the pub on a Friday night.
And every book in this series just keeps getting better and better. I think that Alluring Infatuation is my favourite in the series so far - but I have loved each and every single one!
Now I am all impatient for Cruz's story!
Oh, and after reading Alluring Infatuation, you won't be able to look a Hummer the same way again!!

I just have to get this out there...I race, race, race Colton Donavan!
I have adored the entire Driven Trilogy, but man I just LOVED Crashed. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a read, I wanted to slap some sense into Colton at the same time as hugging the hell out of him.
And thank goodness that Bi&*h Tawny got what she deserved.
Now it is the impatient wait for Raced, and also Becks and Haddi's book.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of Be My December from Ms Brookes, and it is a book I thoroughly enjoyed.
Eden has some baggage from an incident 4 years ago, and to this day it is affecting her day to day life.
Ky Crawford --- le sigh --- has a secret, and it eats at him every day.
Gees, don't these people know that secrets always have a way of coming out and causing more trouble lol
I loved how with Ky by her side, Eden comes out of the damaged shell she has kept herself in for so long. Watching her blossom, watch her self confidence grow and seeing her take no crap anymore is just wonderful. And Ky really is quite swoonworthy.
Loved the secondary characters, particular Ashlyn and Josh.
This is the first of Ms Brookes' books I have had the chance to read (so many books, so little time!) but it will definitely not be the last

3.5 - 4 stars.
Holy crap. These people really are in some serious shit! How much trouble can a couple of rock bands get into?? I mean gees Louise, it is just one thing after the other!
That being said, I am now going onto book 5 to see how this all pans out. It is like passing a car crash, I can't stop staring!!
