I really enjoyed the first book in the series (Hot Nights With The Fireman) so it was a no brainer when offered the chance to read In Bed With The Bodyguard.

This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone.

Arianne Rose is dealing with the fallout of her father's actions, and has been doing a great job of building up a business in the aftermath.

When she starts receiving threats, Jason (from book 1) sends his friend Lance to watch out for her.

And watch he does indeed do. Watch. Lust after. Drool maybe?

I adore how both Lance and Ari fight their attraction. Lance because he believes all the hype about her and her father, Ari because she no longer trusts.

The chemistry between the pair is off the charts! You just want them to make that leap, take a chance. Fall in love.

There are some things going on behind the scenes that you just know are going to be trouble too - but can the relationship they are forging be enough to get them past these?

Nuh -uh - for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

The Alpha Heroes books are fun, sweet and sexy reads. Not angsty, not over the top. They are feel-good fodder for the heart.

Can't wait to read the 3rd book

Episode two: Lucky

This crosses over with the first installment, Casey, but you do not have to have read it before hand - but why would you want to miss out/

Lucky and Dare... sigh.

Lucky is the heart of Mil Springs, and the last thing she wants, last thing she needs is any romantic entanglements in town.. especially with the new cop.

But the sexual attraction between Lucky and Dare is of...the...charts. Boy, you can feel the sparks flying across the room!

While they are fighting it, the whole town can see what is playing out - small towns, nothing is sacred, believe me I live in one!

One thing though.... grrr, why does Dare keep calling Lucky "mate". Don't know what it was but it irritated the crap out of me. Not sure if it was male to female, or if it was because they were becoming romantically involved, but no, it needed to stop (this is probably just me!)

I adored this pair together, and wanted more.

Can't wait for the next episode.

Episode six: Skye

What if your unrequited love turns out not to be unrequited after all?

Skye has returned to Mil Springs after completing her veterinary degree, and is back to see the boy she has always loved, Bret.

But wowsers, when there is a bit of an "incident" she finds out that her feelings are reciprocated by Bret.

And do the sparks fly!

I loved a friends to lovers story, especially when we get a bit of history behind id (which can be hard in such a short story). I didn't feel at all that things were rushed with Skye and Bret and felt that their story took an organic progression to more than friends.

I am really enjoying this series, and looking forward to next week's episode.

New series from Jade C Jamison? Yes please.

Fool Me Once is Codie Snow's story. She seems to be floundering a bit, in life and love. In a job she hates, and emotionally torn between a hot shot lawyer and a hot cop, she really is a bit of a mess.

I am not going to lie, it did take me a little bit to get into Codie's story (it might be just me but at first it felt like I was dropped part way into a story not the beginning) but this could just be me. And by about 20% in I was fully involved.

The book has a bit of everything. It floats between sweet, sexy and suspenseful.

At times I wanted to shake a bit of sense into Codie, to stand up and make a choice, but then I could understand her as we have all been in that position at some time in our lives, unsure of what to do next.

And when she does make her mind up what she is going to do - well, let's just say that it is not what you would expect. It was a strong, forthright decision, and just when I wanted to cheer her, tell her you go girl...

It was the end. Gah. No! I need to know what happens next.

Fool Me Once is a strong start to the Codie Snow series, and I hope we don't have too long before we find out what happens.

This is the 3rd in the Blue series, and whilst it could be read as a stand alone, I feel that it would be better to have read the first 2 books in the series first to get the full effect of Blue and Brady's story.

For me, having read the first 2 books, Fade to Blue fell a little bit flat for me.

I am not sure if it was because for most of the story we were focused on people other than Brady and Blue, and that they felt like secondary characters instead of our MCs? Or that it felt that the storylines that were the main ones felt like they dragged out a little bit.

But this could just be me.

The times when we were completely focused on Brady and Blue I adored. I love how far their relationship has come since we first met them, how strong they are still going. And I loved that we got a little glimpse of Liam again!

So while this is not my favourite of the series, it was still a sweet read.

I look forward to what D.P Denman brings us next

Firstly, am I the only one who gets that song from that Tom Hanks movie in my head every time I read the title? No? Just me then?

That Thing You Do is a cute, fun read that I really enjoyed. I adore Greta and her two besties! I love their quirks and their love for each other, and at first their teenage pact is fun.

DJ Force - aka as Jon, he is just the thing that she needs - even if she doesn't know it yet!

You know what I like reading at the moment? I am loving a story where the guy is all in, knows what he wants, and the woman fights it. For years we have been reading about the girl waiting for the guy to catch up. This is the 3rd book this week that has been the opposite - and I like it!

There is a beautiful push/pull between our lovelies - well, she pushes, and he pulls!

Right from the start, the reader can tell that Greta and Jon are going to be together, it was just the wonder of the journey they would take to get there.

Greta did frustrate me at times, and I may have yelled at my kindle for Jon to run away, however I could understand some of her reasons why.

That Thing You Do was a fun read, and now I can't wait to see who knocks the other two ladies off their feet.

Oh my sweetness! This is JUST what I needed today!

Brooke and Ella have given us a surprise Valentine's novella, and I just can't keep the smile off my face!

Carter and Vaughn's story is just the sweetest, most adorable and loving short I have read. Told in both present tense and flashbacks we get the story of our lovelies relatioship.

I smiled, I laughed, my heart soared as we follow them on their beautiful Valentine's Day.

Even better news though, is that this has been picked up by Passionflix and will be made into a film - though we won't be getting this one until 2019 boooooo.

Please ladies, go quote Britney. Gimme more, gimme gimme more!

3.5 stars

I think this one might be more of a case of "it's not you, it's me".

I have read and enjoyed everything this author has released and enjoyed it immensely, however this one just did not do it for me.

This could be because I have not read the other books in this series, but I don't think that is really it.

I love a second-chance story, and I loved the beginning and the end of Echoes Of The Past, but it did fall apart for me in the middle. It dragged when all I wanted was to find out things worked out. Again, this could just be me.

We met our leading man Jamey in Hot Seal In Hollywood, however you can read this as a stand alone - but why would you want to miss any SEALy hotness?

Jamey and ???'s story ( don't want to tell you who!) is sweet and sexy and fun and flirty and I sat and read it in one session.

I adored them as they work towards their happy ever after, through all the dramas that dating a celebrity can cause.

Jamey is all kinds of swoonworthy, and I wanna be his girl!

I loved getting snippets of the GAPS guys, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I am ashamed to say that before this book, I had never heard of Alice Anderson, her all-ladies garage or her adventures.

What a wonderful, adventurous life did Alice Anderson lead. She is the kind of woman that I would love to have been friends with.

Smart, professional, and oh so ambitious - I feel like I have done nothing in my life compared to what Alice did in her short life.

And to do it all with none of the technology we have today makes her feats even more amazing.

Ms Smith has written Alice's story in a way that makes you feel like you are one of Alice's "garage girls", that you are living in the 1920s and are drawn into all the escapades.

I really enjoyed learning about Alice, and feel that her story needs to be out there again.
