I say it all the time, that Sawyer Bennett could write the chinese takeaway menu and I would read it.
However, to me, I think we should be getting to the end of the Arizona Vengeance series.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy Jett and Emory's story, I liked that Jett was upfront about things to do with here and her family, and I was cheering for him to get the HEA he didn't know he wanted or needed.
But really, is there much more that can happen with this team and its players?
Ugh, it makes it sound like I didn't like the story at all, but that is not the truth at all. I really did like reading it, but it is all getting a bit same ol, same ol.
And I can't lie, I feel that at this stage I am just holding out for Baden's story.
Because that one is going to be Ah-freaking-mazing.
Bring on Riggs and Baden, STAT

I have read many of Katee Robert's books in the past, however this is the first of the Dark Olympus books.
Where have i been and why had I not heard of this series before?
I love history and Greek myths and legends, so I was very keen to read this one. Now, I will say that it is more like KR has taken the names of the Greek legends rather than a retelling, but that is also not a bad thing.
I adored our strong female in Helen. She is always just the other sister, the one that the family can push around and is theirs to do what they want with. I loved that she stood up, gave them a big middle finger and did what she wanted, no matter what was thrown at her. *chef's kiss* to this
Achilles and Patroclus are goals. Through thick and thin they make their way through life. Though I think that they need to have a couple of conversations to sort out the fragility of some of their feelings. They kind of got swept under the rug so the throuple relationship could be up front - I mean, I like the three of them together, but I wanted more of the guys alone,
I now want to go back and read the previous two books, and look forward to what this series brings us in the future.

CEO millionaire? Ugh, so 2017 I hear you say.
But never fear - Max Fletcher is millionaire that you want to know.
Amy Daws has given us a wonderful, brilliant, my-favourite-Amy-Daws-book-except-for-My-Hayden story that I am still smiling thinking about the next day.
Max and Cozy's story is sweet and sexy, laugh out loud and lovable. Gah, I just loved it.
Now, I am stingey with my 5 star reviews, so if you are seeing 5 stars from me, it really is one of those books that I just felt and loved the whole way through.
I liked that even though our lovelies have their problems and issues, there is not OTT drama for drama's sake. I love that they tackle their issues like adults, and act like rational human beings - I can't be the only one who gets sick of stupid mis/non-communications?
Add in an adorable 11 year old and the characters from the series (I mean, who doesn't want to know what Mercedes Lee Loveletter is up to these days??) and a whole bunch of new guys to fall in love with, and you have one of my favourite books of 2022 so far.
I now need more of Max's brothers in the future.
Buy it. Read it. Love it

I am late to the Robert Bryndza train, and this is my first read in the Erika Foster series
So yes, I did miss some of the nuances of the characters, however for me this was not such a big deal, and there is enough background information given for me to catch up pretty quickly.
Dark, gritty writing gives us a look at the darker, grittier scenes of a murder detective. No flowery. glossing over things for the reader.
Red herrings put my off the scent of who the killer was, and I enjoyed reading right to the end.
I will need to go back and read the previous Erika Foster books, and look forward to seeing where the series goes in the future.

Another wonderful story from Jill Shalvis.
Tae and Riggs second chance at love will have you laughing, loving and swooning.
Their story is one of secrets, half truths and strong women making their way.
I was annoyed at Tae's mum most of the time I was reading though.
Great character development, beautiful imagery and people that I want to be friends with - I look forward to more of this series

I have been on a bit of a run of books based (mostly loosely) on the Greek Gods, so the blurb for A Game of Retribution intrigued me.
I have not read the first book in the Hades series, so I admit that this may affect my feelings on book 2 a little bit.
I don't know what Hades and Persephone were like in the first book, but I will say that I really liked Hades (am I supposed to like the God of the Underworld? Probably not as much as I did haha)
I did feel that there was not really much happening for a 444 page book. Sure there is one God trying to overthrow another, blackmail and the likes, but mostly it was Hades and Persephone, who are supposed to have this big love, fighting, not communicating, and effing it out. Oh boy, do they boink it out a lot. I mean, yeah, fighting is foreplay and all that, but you still gotta talk to each other in between.
But this could just be me, and again my not reading the first book may affect this.
I did enjoy A Game of Retribution to read it all, but I don't know if I will go on and read more of the series.
