Well, that was one suspenseful, dramatic rollercoaster of a ride for sure!
I loved getting back with Angel and Sidney and seeing what mischief that they could get up to - but this time the mischief and intrigue finds them - and leads to a whole lot of red herrings and whodunnits.
It was a case of who can you trust as out intrepid duo are there to babysit a client's grumpy teen... and a case of what you see might not be what you get.
In fact, I think Angel and Sidney did a much better job at private investigating than any of the qualified PI's working for Omega and showed them right up
I liked where the ending took us, setting up for more in the series and I look forward to seeing what trouble they get into next

The Duke who?
Even in the first book I was more inclined towards Anthony than Simon, and this book cemented that feeling
Edit: loved it more the second time round, especially after watching the trainwreck of a Netflix show

It's time for another round at Jameson Force Security.
I really have liked Dozer throughout this series, and his story did not disappoint.
One case of raging unrequited love (or is it???) has Dozer crossing country to protect his girls - swoooon.
Could this finally be the chance he has always wanted with Jess? Can he protect those he loves? Is this his HEA?d Gah, you need to read it to find out.
I loved seeing the progression of the relationships of all the Jameson "family", and there is a little heartbreaker in training in this story. Uncle Dozer doesn't stand a chance!
Whilst I am sad that this series is coming to an end with the next installment, I hope that we get more of Dozer's dad in the future. I am very intrigued to find out what her really does haha
Bring on Kellen and his pupper!!

Days after finishing, I am still not 100% sure what I read.
It started of strong, and I really liked Olivia, her time at the school and her seeing the ghouls.
Then, like the message she reads, I should have stayed away from Gallant.
Once she arrived at Gallant, I found myself losing interest, quickly. I didn't get what was happening, I didn't care for Olivia or any of the residents, and found myself nearly giving up on it completely.
And I think this is all about me, and not the book. I knew it was YA when I requested it, and the blurb intrigued me, but I feel that I really was not the right demographic for it. I have no idea how old Olivia is - sometimes she comes across as quite young, like 10 years old, other times more a mid teenaged girl. I was scratching my head at that too.
So overall, whilst I was not overawed with Gallant, it i more me and my age than the story itself.
Thank you New South Books for my copy of Gallant.

This was my first book by this author, and I don't think I will read more.
The dialogue felt clunky,so much happens off page that I had to check i hadn't missed a chapter or few.
I can see why others like this author, but they are not for me

Aaaah it seems so long since I have been in Goodeland, and it was like coming home as I read Crying Wolfe.
I am a sucker for a "marriage because of happenstance" stories, and this was no exception.
Rosaline and Eli are so opposite, but when it all comes down to it, great for each other.
I did feel a bit taken aback by Eli's language - not the language itself, as I drop the eff bomb all the time, but it just felt a bit jarring in this series. But that is just a me thing. It didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. It was just different. Like Garth from Wayne's World... I don't like change hahah.
Was goode (see what I did there lol) to see more of Pru and Morley from the earlier books in the series, and nice to find out where the rest of the Goode girls are at.
And now I really need more of Eli in my life.

Oh David Michael, I have missed your writing!
Boy On The Horizon is a quick, sexy story or letting go of your worries, taking a leap and enjoying life as it comes to you, with no expectactions at the end of it all.
I mean, sometimes you just have to be ships passing in the night, and that is how Jacob and Billy's story goes.
I adore Jacob, I love how he loves, and I LOVE that the whole town is behind him, even when he thinks he has to hide himself.
His friendships are goals, and I laughed out loud at times at some of the conversations.
I really enjoyed it, and I hope we get more of his writing sooner rather thatn later.
