Well, this story really give us a lot to unpack.

Dillon and Cal's story was very heavy on the suspense, and that didn't leave us much room for a romance (and maaaaan, with their chemistry they needed much more to happen, but I digress). I like the ride we were taken on, and there were a few twists and turns and wtf moments.

It has been a while since I have read a Donna Grant story, and this one makes me want to go and read more again.

Cute second chance romance that had me laughing out loud at times, groaning with frustration when people didn't communicate, but most of all had me smiling as I listened.

Rachel Tidd is a new narrator to me, and I will be listening to more

It was great to get back to the Kittredge Ranch, and it was nice to see a career for our leading lady that I haven't seen before - a travel nurse.

I really liked Janie and the mission she was on for herself.
And then there is Zack. I wanted to hug him as much as I wanted to slap the back of his head Gibbs/Dinozzo style. I liked him for Janie, as much as I hated the way he was with Janie if that makes sense.

She is good for him though, and I liked the way she thawed his hardened heart.

I had forgotten a lot of what happened in the other books, but there was enough to jog my memory, and though book 3 in the series, it could be read as a stand alone.

I look forward to reading more of Caitlin Crews stories in the future.

I love a cozy mystery, and one with art and antiquities piqued my interest.

Unfortunately though, this one did not really hold my interest. It took me a few days of having to pick it up again to get it finished.

I am probably in the minority here, but I just.... couldn't find myself wanting to get to the end to find out whodunnit. I didn't even really try to guess whodunnit with this one.

There were lots of possibilities, but to me (and these are only my opinions) some of those possibilities didn't even really add to the story.

I am still trying to decide whether I liked the lead characters or not? Maybe I would have liked them better if I had read the first book and knew more about them? I, yeah, just don't know.

If you like your cozies with a leading lady who doesn't know boundaries and a story with lots of family drama, this will be a great read for you.

Lawyer by day. Romance author by night. This is the life of Miles Franklin - not THAT Miles Franklin though!

But she is so keen to keep her alter-ego-writer a secret, that when she wins a big competition she does everything she can to get out of the obligations. And oh the lengths she goes to.

And in the meantime falls for the guy who is pushing those obligations.

Miles is a bit of a door mat for most of the story, and I just wanted to scream in frustration when she let it all happen. Her parents are the worst kink of literary snobs and I wanted to snot them. Her besty/PA/harginger of all her current troubles, she is so sweet and I loved the way she tries to get Miles to come out as the author, you can't help but love her.

I adored the Sydney setting, and could picture so many of the places so clearly it brought an extra dimension to the story for me, as I wandered down the streets of my home city with Miles.

This was my first experience of a Penelope Janu story, and I will definitely be reading more in the future.

Well, wasn't that just a fabulous dose of small towny, rock starry goodness, I mean, Kylie Scott always has me at rock star, but add in the small town vibe and the girl next door and I was all in

I totally get the small town thing, having done the tree change to a small town. The gossip mill is always rife, but the town (nearly always) circles the wagons when it comes to one of their own.

I loved the spark between Garrett and Ani, how they are both a bit broken, are closed to relationships, but *singing some REO Speedwagon* can't fight these feelings anymooooore,

I just wanted more, and more, and more of this pair.

I also wanted more of Smith -I hope that one day Ms Scott will write his story for us?
