I wanted to love this story, and in the end I kind of liked it, but for the first half I nearly DNFd it so many times. The last 25% made up for that.
We were continuously slapped in the face with Yinka and her absession with other women's butts and her eternal singledom. We got it the first 37 times you told us.
I hated each and every character (well, maybe not one) at some stage as I was reading.
I wanted to yell at the mum and Auntys to back TF off. I wanted to yell at Yinka to stop being a door mat. Gah, so so much.
It took till the last 25% for me not to want to tell them all off.
I feel that others will love this book, but we were not a great fit

This was a lovely little novella, that made me smile as much as it made me growl in frustration at our leading man Foster.
Oh, did that man make me so mad at times, however I loved how well Ember dealt with him, and wasn't afraid to put him in his place when he needed it.
I didn't read the blurb first, so didn't realise it was sorta kinda based on Pride and Prejudice, but I did say as I was reading a few particular parts "this is very Darcy and Elizabeth" - and, well, I was right!
Enjoyable, quick read that will fill in an hour or two on the couch

I have terrible bookzheimers, and when Pieces of Me turned up on my Kindle, I had a terrible time remembering what had happened in the first part - all I remembered was that I was all WTF with what happened in the last bit of book one, but I knew I was wanting to read part two stat.
Pieces Of Me has all the usual JMac angst and emotion, but for me, for at least the first half of the book, Britney Spears' "Toxic" was playing in my head. As much as I loved Jamie and Holden individually, together they were bad news, and all they did was hurt - themselves and each other.
However the second half of things, when they did actually, shock horror - communicate - I did like them both a lot better.
Seriously guys, talk to each other lol
I felt that - eventually - our lovelies had a lot of personal growth, and when they removed heads from sphincters, they were wonderful together
Don't get me wrong, I really did like the story, but for so long I was wondering why they were even bothering? What's the point when all you do is want to hate each other?
But some wonderful side characters *cough cough Maggie cough cough* who took the level of animosity down every time they were one the page.
I loved getting more of Mia, Leo and little heartbreaker Benny.
I am glad Jamie and Holden got the ending they deserved, even it if took them a little while to get there.

L.M Halloran has again weaved her magic on me whilst reading The Fall Before Flight, as again I have become absolutely enamoured with her stories.
It is never going to be the easiest read when it comes to one of her stories. She always delves into the darker side of lives, and I am always amazed. She takes us down the rabbit hole with Leo and Amelia's story, and I didn't want to come back.
"Everyone's broken. Some of us are just better are gluing the pieces back together."
So many secrets and lies are revealed as Amelia finds her way back to herself. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, Ms Halloran threw another curve ball at me that had me rethinking everything I had read.
My heart hurts for Amelia as the story progresses. I am sure we have all had some of the thoughts that she has had at times.
Gah, there is so much I want to say about this book, but I don't want to give anything away. This is story that you need to dive in blind and let envelop you, body and soul.
Buy this book. That is all.

It has been a while since we have had a new L.M Halloran story (and if you have followed Ms Halloran on social media for the past year, it is completely understandable that we haven't had anything for a while)
She has come back with a bang with Room For Us.
Zoey and Ethan's story will have you laughing, smiling, frustrated, crying, and falling in love.
It made me want to buy a run down B & B and hope that my own Ethan comes to stay!
It is beautiful watching our lovelies overcome the crap from their past, and finding love. They and their problems are completely relatable, and they will tug at your heartstrings.
I really adored Room For Us, and I am looking forward to more books from Ms Halloran in the future.

What an absolutlely, gloriously delicious regency romp was Something Fabulous.
A man who is all sunshine and unicorns. A man who is grumpy and curious.
A chase across the countryside after the one he doesn't want, but feels obliged to marry.
Oh, when the surly Duke is out of his comfort zone, what a bunch of silly situations he finds himself in - and they put a smile on my face the whole time I was reading.
It is unabashedly, fabulously gay - and I LOVED IT!
It is funny, witty and ridiculous - and I couldn't put it down.
Even the bratty, self absorbed Arabella, who I really didn't like most of the time, couldn't stop my enjoyment. Bonny made up for her shortcomings in abundance.
I need Bonny as a friend in my life.
I can't wait for the next in the series.

Some sound, some not so sound advise from some of my favourite queens.
If you haven't watched Trixie and Katya before, this can come across as a bit disjointed, but this is just how they are when they are together.
Can't wait to meet these ladies later this year

Well, f^*k
Firstly, why oh why have I waited all these years to read Verity?
Secondly, what in the everloving?
Ever since Verity first hit the shelves a couple of years ago, I have been hearing what a mind eff it is, how you ever see what is coming, and why, Colleen Hoover, just why?
And now I get it. As I was reading I was all "yeah, I got this, and "yep, I know what is going to happen here."
Wrong. So wrong, Whilst yes I knew what was happening with one thing (there are plenty of clues to that one), but What, The. Eff?? Ms Hoover leaves it right to the end to blow. my. mind.
Hours later and I am still trying to get my head around what I read.
Well played, Ms Hoover, well played.
This is what I call an anti-gravity book - because I just couldn't put it down. I needed to know what happened on the next page, I needed to know if I was right with what I thought.
It is just freaking amazing
I will be thinking about this book for days.
