I am a big, big fan of cozy mysteries, and throw in some puppers and you will get me one clicking like *clicks fingers* that.
Tailing Trouble have me vibes of the Cozy Corgi series by Mildred Abbott, with the doggies, and the love interest.
But to me it was just lacking something.
The mystery was good, and I didn't guess whodunnit until late in the game.
But Ally and her constantly telling us how she has not customers, she has to go look after the dogs, the always going to Gramps house for dinner, but whoops I have to go and walk the dogs. We get it, you had dogs to look after, we didn't need to hear about it every chapter.
And don't get me started on Gramps. I get it, he is supposed to be the kooky sidekick who helps solve the crime, but he was more of a hindrance, a pest and surely the man should be in gaol. Ugh. Is it bad that I wanted him to be the next victim?
I liked the spark between Ally and Noah, and I am interested to see what happens with them in the future.
So whilst I didn't love it, I enjoyed Tailing Trouble enough to read more in the future.

This is my first Amanda Flower read, so first read in the Magical Bookshop series, but this did not affect my reading or enjoyment of Crimes and Covers.
I love a cozy mystery, and I enjoyed the little paranormally side of things here.
There must be something in the waters at the moment with writers, as I have read a few books with bookshop owners and policemen and cozies lately.
I did miss a few little things as I have not read the previous 4 books. but that wasn't a problem and I caught myself up pretty quickly
I just need to find me a bookshop that will magically tell me what book I need to read next!
I will go back and read the previous books in the series, and I hope we get more in the future.

Awww, what a quick, cute listen. I mean, Christmas and puppers? Yes please.
Great narration by Arndt and Clarke, kept me entertained as I am ramping myself up to go back to work

Well. That was cute.
I had already started reading The Best Men when Super Hot Wingman (freebie!) was released, so I went and read it then came back to The Best Men.
Asher and Mark are the epitome of opposites attract, and I loved the spark between them, even when they are all, like, "I don't even like you, man".
It did take a while for the story to really warm up and get going, but once it hit about 50% it was on for young and old, and I couldn't get enough.
It is just a joyful book. Sure, there are some tense moments, and someone might have been cutting onions nearby at some stage, but over all it was just fun and flirty.

How did I miss this one from Evie Mitchell?
Cal and Emily's short story is a wonderful one about falling in love with your spouse all over again.
It was a little more emotional than I was expecting, but that was a great way to make the story feel so much more.

Dnf at 23%. Who are these people?
Was there a bulk discount on personality transplants?
Not at all what I was expecting, but that'd be on me

Dearest Milton James has been one of my favourite books of 2021, so I was very excited to see that we were getting this Christmas novella.
I loved being back at the lost letter office with this fantabulous characters.
I loved seeing more of Malachi and Julian, and I absofreakinglutely loved where this story took us.
Gah, can I say any more how much I adored it?
This short had me laughing, had my heart bursting, and even now nearly a week later, I am still smiling thinking about it *insert cheesy grin*
Thank you N.R Walker for giving us these wonderful characters
