Yes! A book that has characters closer to my age than younguns who I could have birthed!

And I loved that we get mature problems and issues, and mature reactions - thank god there was none of this stupid miscommunciation crap we get in so many books.

I want a silver fox like Jake in my life.

And go Rita - pulled in so many directions, but goes after what she wants.

She and Jake are both fighting their pasts whilst trying to forge a future.

They are cute and adorable and I just loved them so much.

Another great addition to the World of True North / Busy Bean collection

ARC received from authors for an honest review

In the words of David Rose

I have been impatiently waiting for Sebastian "Bash" Vogel's story foreveeeerrrr - not an exaggeration at all.

And having Bash cross over with one of Ella Franks boys - I may have peed a little with excitement!

I always knew that Bash's flamboyance and confidence would catch the eye of a wonderful man, but i didn't expect it to be the other Bailey brother Kieran.

And what a wonderful and extravagant and fantastic story Kieran and Bash are giving us - so far.

I am not typicallly a fan of the GFY thing, however this pair of authors could write about a statue falling for a pair of head phones and I would read it and love it,

Gah, I don't want to write too much and give anything away, as we have all waited for Bash for me to spoil anything for you.

I loved seeing more of the Bailey brotherss and their loves, and even though we were cliffied, it was to be expected knowing there are 3 books. And we only have a month to find out what happens

Yaaaaass b*tches! We're back in the True North-verse, and I can't get enough!

And not only are we back in Vermont, we are back at the Speakeasy.

Firstly,I am loving the older characters in these books - nothing wrong with the younguns except I am an old fart and it can get hard to relate to the youngsters at times - listen to me, I am one breath away from saying "back in my day!"

And I am loving the vibe of the women forging their way in very male oriented business.

I love the way Juliana is still crushing on her high school crush Riggs. I adore Riggs with his son.

And the snark and bite between our lovelies as they fight their attraction to each other heats up the pages.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Speakeasy series, and could read stories like this for years to come.

Want to meet me at the Speakeasy (really, you do) want to meet me at the Speakeasy, No ifs or buts about it.

I mean, who doesn't want some Cocktail-esque entertainment while they drink.

Trevor does, that's for sure. I loved that they found each other in Vermont. I liked that they acted on the spark - eventually.

But ugh, communicate people! This hiding stuff from each other just asks for drama, and it was drama for drama's sake in my opinion. You say you love each other but can't talk about this - ugh, it got me not liking the story as much. I disliked most of the last 25% because of it.

But this is just a me thing, it won't bother most people I am sure.

I did like that they did eventually remove heads from sphincters and TALKED to each other hahah

I say it all the time, but these books would be a great Netflix series that I would watch the sh!t out of!

That right there ^ is me after reading just the first chapter of A Little Bit Like Desire.

And after reading the rest of it too!

This book sure does start out with a bang, not a whimper, and I was hooked right to the end.

If you have have read A Little Bit Like Love, you will have met Shaw Jennings (and if you haven't read it, why the heck not?)
This book has a lot of my favourite things - tattoos (and sexy AF tattoo artists), rock stars and m/m. How could this possibly be wrong for me? That's right, it couldn't!

Enter Trent Knox - rock star who is a little lost at the moment, but finding his way in South Haven.

And things sure do get hot down south- yes, that "down south" too :P

The sexual tension between Shaw and Trent is off the charts. I leaps off the pages! Along with sexy and hot moments, we have plenty of sweet and tender moments, sad moments and OMG this is amazing moments.

I couldn't help but fall in love with #Shox as they were falling for each other.

I loved that we got more of Lucas and Jackson (from A Little Bit Like Love) and I am absolutely enamoured with Shaw's best friend Bash right now. Oh, he is a cheeky one, and I can't wait to find out more about him in the next book.

Please don't keep me waiting too long Ms Blaine, I need more! But until then, the boys say bye!

ARC received from Harper Collins Australia for an honest review

I am trying to read more Australian authors since it is my homeland, and there are so many wonderful stories out there that I need to give them more of my time.

The Last of The Apple Blossom was my first Mary-Lou Stephens read, and for the most part it was an enjoyable and intriguing read.

I liked the way it started, the situation of where the story began is still relatable today (we still get terrible bushfires and devastation every year or so). The main 5 main characters are well rounded and there is depth to their stories that kept me interested.

But then when we get about 7% of the way in (where I felt would have been a great place to finish the tale) but then things started to get a bit beyond belief. Things began to drag (to me anyway, as I was no longer interested in what was going on). To me, about 100 of the last 150 pages could have been completely cut out of the story - I did like the last part though. However, this is just my thoughts on it.

Overall a lovely story, and one that is going to be devoured by many.

I love my time in the World Of True North and was looking forward to this Grindr date turns to more story

Unfortunately, I just kind of felt ambivalent about Unforgettable.

It was that I loved it or hated it, its just....was.

Oz and Reeve are nice, but nothing really stood out about their story.

Well, maybe except the parents - again, why can't the parents just accept their kids and stop being all douchey to them, ugh.

Like, I was happy that they got their HEA and yay for that, however nothing really stuck out for me.

It was just all.... nice.

Nothing wrong with nice, I feel I just wanted a little something more

Yaaaasss more World of True North

Now,what is that Bon Jovi song - "Who Says You Can't Come Home".

That is delectable Judson's life right now. And when he sees his old best friend, his heart went boom - and so did mine.

Oh Jud has some splainin' to do do Skyler - and I loved going on the ride with them.

I am obsessed with Skyler and his maple farm - and may have just bought everything I need to make maple cream - I need that stuff in my life STAT

Cute and adorable and sexy maple farmery - I really enjoyed this best friends to more story
