oh yeah Jack fn Carter!

I received a copy of The Storm and the Darkness from the author for an honest review.

Firstly, I have not read the first book in this series (St Charles at Dusk) and it is not necessaryto have read it, however I will go and read it at a later date

Anasofiya (Ana Deschanel) has never been able to make a connection with anyone, and after making some questionble personal decisions in her life, she ups and moves away from her family in New Orleans to the house she inherited on Casco Bay in Maine.

Island life is not what she imagined, the natives don't take well to newcomers moving in, and they do not treat her the best, however being a loner this does not worry her as much as she thought.

Strange locals, storms that close the island off for weeks at a time, intrigue and mystery, this book has it all.

Ms Cradit has written this very well, and the story kept me interested the whole way through.

I look forward to reading more of her work.

This is Sydney Lane's first book, and what a great little book it is.

Quincy leaves home to head to college with her best friends. Things at home have not been the greatest, an ill sister and parents trying to cope. Getting away is just what she needs.

She has never been one to date much in high school, and hopes that she might meet someone at college. She never thought she would meet two! Now she must choose between two friends, brothers.

Declan - the gorgeous, sweet guy who is everything she ever though she wanted

Brody - the sexy, charming womaniser who is everything she needs.

Choices had a bit of a feel of the Kellan/Kiera/Denny (Thoughtless series) or Beau/Ashton/Sawyer (The Vincent Boys/Brothers) about it. There is nothing wrong with this, as I loved both those series, it just felt a little familiar.

I have read quite a few books from first time writers, and I felt that Choices was just a step above a lot of them. It was well written, the emotions came across well, and was an all round enjoyable read.

I look forward to reading more of Sydney's works!

More of Bennett and Chloe - yes please!

This continues on a year after the end of Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett and Chloe are together, struggling to find time for each other while their careers are going gangbusters.

They are still as snippy and sarcastic as before, which I completely adore, and both realise that they are completely in love with each other, surprising even themselves.

I loved the flashbacks to the night of Chloe's presentation to finish her internship, when they finally got back together after months apart. Was great to read what they both went through, and how it brought them back together.

Cannot wait for more of this series!!

3.5 stars - ARC received for honest review.

The premise of this story and the actual story were quite good, but the writing left a little to be desired.

It jumped from character, and the lack of abbreviation started to drive me a little nuts - everyone sounded so very formal, and at times like they were talking to strangers, not a couple falling in love.

The lack of abbreviation and all the I Wills instead of I'll might not worry other readers, but it did start to grind on me.

L Chapman shows promise, just needs a little more work with beta readers and editors to work out the kinks.

Not saying don't read it, it may just be me that these things irritate!

3.5 stars

I love these characters.

We met them all in Friend-Zoned, and the comraderie, smart arsed remarks and shenanigans continues.

Continuing Nat and Asher "Ghost"'s relationship, from hooking up to avoiding each other to hooling back up and falling in love, we go through it all

Loved Nat's smart mouth!

Best line I have read in a while l "I'm so happy I could shit rainbows!" hahahha

Can't wait for Max and Helena's book

Well written Belle Aurora, you made me laugh and you made me cry

5 short, fun, easy reads to fill in a cold winters afternoon.

Laughed, cried, a bit of everything in this mixed bunch.

Would be interested in seeing what happens to the couples in these stories, wonder if the authors have any plans on extending the stories at all?
