We start up right where book 1, Inside Affair, end. And I hadn't realised how much I was looking forward to Breaking News until I opened up my Kindle and there it was.

I forgot how much my heart hurt at the end of book 1, and Ms Frank had me on the edge of my seat, reading as fast as I could to find out what was happening with Xander and Sean,

What adored about this story is, after the beginning when everything was happening, this was mostly an angst free. There were issues both of our lovelies were dealing with, which was to be expected with how book one ended, but for the most part, we were watching on as Xander and Sean's relationship blossom and grow Oh how I adore them, so, so much.

Just when the reader thinks things are going to go beautifully, Ms Frank throws a spanner in the work and leaves us hanging. Gah! Is it September yet? I need Headlines - STAT!

Move over Lucas and Logan - another Preston has taken my heart.

And a day after I have finished reading, that heart he stole? It is still aching.

This book Leo? It is everything.

Leo and Mia's story has many twists and turns, ups and downs, and woah, WTF moments.

Gah, I just don't know how to do this book justice with my words.

Jay McLean has absolutely wrecked me. I am sure she is sitting at home, laughing at us as she drinks our tears

Leo and Mia don't make it easy for the reader. I am pretty sure the last hour of the book I read through big, ugly tears.

There was one scene that was so, so powerful that I went back and read it three times (and just read it again a little while ago - why did I do it to myself??). Ms McLean's words would break the sturdiest of hearts.

Buy it. Read it.Love it. But be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster.

Over the many years and copious readings of Pride and Prejudice, I have often thought what Charlotte Lucas/Collins' life would be like

Thankfully there are authors like Molly Greeley who have given us their interpretations of where she is after her marriage. The Clergyman's Wife is a kind and lovely story at heart, and as a lover of P & P, it was great to see a bit more of characters I have read and loved over the years.

As much as Charlotte has come to terms with her lot in life and the decisions she has made, it was also lovely to see Charlotte and the what ifs of her life.

Collins and Lady Catherine are still as unlikable as the originals - though we can see more of a side to Collins than the social climbing sychophantic man from P & P, and can see that he really kinda does care for his wife.

An enjoyable visit back into Hunsford.

The cover of Meet Cute Club drew me in, and I had high expectations for it.

And whilst I liked it, it was also a little disappointing.

I didn't feel any real emotion for our connection between Jordan and Rex, and their story just plodded along. There was only one part whet I felt any real emotion at all.

I liked the premise, it just fell short for me.

The blurb for Drowning In Stars had me scared. I knew just from those few words that this was going to be a tough, emotional read.

Boy, was that an understatement.

Pixie and Gaze's story wrecked me. Completely and utterly. I didn't know if I was going to tear up or throw my reader across the room as I turned each page.

You could feel the heat of summer in NYC, could hear the sounds of kids playing in the streets. Could really visualise the area where our lovelies were living.

Gah. I want to tell you everything, but this is a book that you need to immerse yourself in after diving in blind. Really. You do.

There is pain. There is heartache. There is just so much everything.

Buy it. Read it - no, devour it.

I can't wait to see what Ms Anastasia brings us next.

I was hooked by the cover and the dogs in this story, and I wanted to love it.

Unfortunately, I didn't love it. I did like it, however I did not feel this one at all.

I didn't really feel any emotion from either Max or Carly. And for most of the time I felt like Carly was just phoning it in and was a doormat for everyone around her.

Baxter and Hazel saved this one for me. I couldn't help but smile every time they were on the page.

I also felt, from my experience, the topic of autism was dealt with quite well.

3.5-4 stars

The Flatshare was one of my favourite books of 2019, so it was an anxious moment when I received The Switch.

This book was just the salve I needed for my head and heart after reading a few emotionally draining stories in the week prior.

It says it all in the blurb, so you know what you are going to get. This is very much a character driver rather than plot driven tale, and even though it is quite predicatable, it is an enjoyable read.

It is kind of like the movie The Holiday, where grandmother/daughter do the house swap. Eileen and Leena have heartache in their pasts, and perhaps this swap will be a clean start for both of them?

And I gotta say - I am calling Eileen "Grandma gettin' it on" - you'll see why when you read it.

The Switch is a slow paced (though not unbearable slow, pleasurable slow) story of finding oneself again.

I am looking forward to what Ms O'Leary brings us in the future.

And the boom is back, baby!

It took me a while to remember which Mayson Talon belonged too (I have been away from this series too long, me thinks), however once it is mentioned who his mum is, I knew where I was at

I loved seeing the next generations of "boom-ers" finding their one,

Talon had me from "tornado". Those Mayson mamas and papas know how to raise some good men.

I loved Mia. I loved how she loves her family. How she is with her nieces. How she cares for her sister.

And I loved how Talon loves her for that.

I had a giggle or two when the uncles/brothers/cousins give him a hard time about the boom.

And together, Mia and Talon are goals. Their story is heartwarming, beautiful, and one that I couldn't wait to pick up and finish.

I would really, really like to get more of Mia's sister Cece's story - she (and I!) need a Mayson man STAT!

Over the years I have grown to love ths family, and I want more.

Not My Romeo was an enjoyable rom-com that left me smiling.

Sports star, mistaken identity, porky pig - yeah, I had a great time reading this one.

I adore Jack and Elena. She is a bit of a hot mess, but she's putting herself out there.

Jack ... he is great for the most part, but there are things that irritated me, made me want to throw my reader across the room. Dude, we all have baggage, but the way you acted made me want to give you a clip around the ears. Gah!!

When the do have their sh!t together, our lovelies are just, well, lovely. They made me laugh and smile and feel all the feels.

There is a bit of angst and upheaval in their lives. I love how their family and friends kept them grounded, called them out on their BS. Well, I liked most of the family most of the time - you'll know why.

However the thing I loved the most is the real Romeo. You'll love him, I bet me last dollar on it.

I want, no I need more of Jack's team mates. Please give us more!

Yay, a new Carmen Jenner, and a great start to a new series.

This book gave me a couple of vibes. Lemonade (Lemon) gave me vibes of Reese Witherspoon's character in Sweet Home Alabama. And with our main man being Colton Hayes, well,I just couldn't help but picture Colton Haynes riding that horse (and wearing those Wranglers!)

This is a lot sweeter and happier (most the time) than what Ms Jenner has given us in the past. Yes, there is some baggage they need to work through, however they do it well.

Lemon is sweet and sassy and feisty. And stubborn. Colt is hurting and stubborn and you can't help but adore him.

There is some brothers that I am not sure if I love or hate at the moment (except one whom I abso-fricking-lutely adore). I know I am going to get their stories. They are gonna drive their mama mad I reckon!

I cant wait for more. Please don't make me wait too long Ms Jenner
