A new series from Ella Frank? Why yes please, get on my Kindle!
This is a spin off of the Henri/Bailey books, however it is a complete standalone.
Now, I am not usually a big fan of the gay-for-you trope, however Ms Frank has brought me my favourite GFY story with the Temptation series, so I knew that I was going to like Sean and Xander's tale.
It is also a complete opposites attract tale too. Xander the man about town in suit and tie, Sean the grumpy man in jeans and tees. I could totally see how they could take a while to warm up to each other - I mean, it took me a while to warm up to Xander (but I really did like him by the end)
But oh man, as much as they fight it, I love them both, and they are going to be the death of me, waiting for this series to play out! It might just be me, but I am a bit over the duet/trilogy/quartets at the moment. So many books I am picking up are coming this way, and I am just impatient.
This installment is low on the heat, as there is so much to set up. I am sure things will be scorching later in the story

I am a slack Jenner-babe, and haven't read Kick and Tank, even though I have had them sitting on my bookshelf forever. I think at the time I bought them, I was a bit over the MC genre and I never went back.
But man-o-man, I am Kick-ing (see what I did there) myself now for not trusting my Carmen Jenner instincts and not reading them. I will be rectifying this soon.
I love that this series is set in my home city of Sydney, as I could a good mental picture of where things are happening.
Jett and Raine's story had me frustrated, had me mad, had me oh so sad. I had mixed feelings about Jett, and even after finishing I am still on the fence about him - I think there were other characters I liked more for Raine then him, but this is probably just me.
Raine is so strong, so resilient, and I adore her. Because man, the hits just kept on coming and a weaker woman would have crumbled under the pressure.
So much was happening, every time I turned around, BAM there was another WTF moment hitting me in the face.
Well played Ms Jenner, well played!
I definitely need to pull Kick and Tank off my shelves and get those babies read. I hope we get more of the club in the future.

Cat Johnson had me at SEAL - like she always does.
This one is light on the SEAL action, but we get plenty of the hot SEAL.
Dani and Nick is the boy/girl next door, enemies-to-lovers and (kinda) second chance all thrown into one, with a background of reality TV (something I am Sooo not a fan of).
Nick can't help himself when it comes to a damsel in distress, and I love the way he goes in to help Dani - even when she doesn't like asking him hahah
But man, the vapid, self indulged people he is going in to help Dani with -yeah, I hated pretty much all of them.
I adore the spark and snark between our lovelies. They say it is a fine line between love and hate, and they toe that line, but will they finally cross it?
For that you need to read for yourself.
It was great to see more of the SEALs from previous books, and it makes me want to go to McP's bar in Coronado and pick one of these guys for myself hahah.
Anyone coming with?

I completely and utterly adored Temporary.
I will read anything of Sarina Bowen's I can get my hands on (in fact, I am currently reading one and listening to another of her Ivy series) so it is a no brainer to read Temporary.
Now firstly, all this talk of Callan's accent. We Aussies don't have accents!
He is all sorts of sexy and adorable - even when at times he is a complete jerk, he is a lovable jerk!
Grace is strong and wonderful and so not attracted to Callan - at all (well, maybe just a lot hehe). I think she is the bees knees. She is caught between a rock and a Callan. I may have read few blurry eyes a few times as the story progressed.
It was great watching Callan and Grace fight for what they want, what is right, what should have been happening all along. I was swept away with them as their story progressed.
There are some great secondary characters, but boy are there some horrible, horrible people that I wanted to high five, in the face, with my Kindle!
Temporary is sweet, and cute, and adorable and just a wonderful romance read.
And as an Aussie blogger, I need to apologise to Sarah Mayberry that I haven't read anything of hers before - I will be rectifying that soon!
I hope this duo collaborates again - I would definitely read it.
**Oh, and thank you for not being one of those "we're authors you've read but are keeping it a secret duos!!**

Welcome back to Wildstone, where family and friends make your life better.
There are blood family, and the family that Brynn creates is more than you expect.
I adore a second chance at romance, and I liked the relationships on the periphery of things, but I wasn't that taken with Brynn and Eli. I was more a Deck and Kinsey fan than the main characters - but that could just be me.
And a huge personality in this tale is a dog called Mini - you'll love this one.
I felt that Brynn was a hypocrite, calling everyone else on their behaviour, then doing exactly the same thing. She took to Kinsey being her sister in a heartbeat, but then ignored everything her sister said and wants. She grated on me.
I really liked Kinsey -she is what she is, and she doesn't take any crap from anyone about what they think.
It sounds like I didn't like this book, but I did, just not as much as the other Jill SHalvis books. This one was an anomoly, and I am looking forward to the next book.

2.5 stars
Hmm, bit confuzzled here.
What was unconventional about a boss/assistant relationship?
What wad with Weber? Is he an adult, billionaire business man - nope, he came across as a pre-teen girl most the time.
The narration was good, just what he had to work with lacked

I love receiving ARCs from Ms Paton - they are always a little bit different and a lot loveable.
We've met Grip and the Lost Property world in book 2 of this series, but now we get him out from behind the rock star persona.
Then Mena, the former drummer groupie is now all serious and sh!t, but when their worlds come back to together they can't fight that spark.
But there is the one thing that irritated me, not just in this book but all my stories.
Communicate people! The whole time I was reading I was waiting for the shoe to drop with the things not communicated. But that is probably just my bug bear and won't bother anyone else
I loved this was set in my home city, and I loved that being a rock star story, it wasn't all about the rock star life. It was the normality of Grip's life that made me smile.
I really enjoyed spending a few hours couch time with Mena and Grip.
I can't wait to see what dose of different Ms Paton gives us next.
