We have had the Collins brothers, now it is time for their cousin Harlow to find her HEA.

*fanning self* my, the sexual tension between Harlow and Cole (Dex's BFF), you can cut it with a knife, slap it on a slice of bread and eat it right up.

I feel that Harlow was brought into Cole's life to drive him bonkers, and she did this well.

There was a little something missing with this installment compared to the previous books, I am just not sure if I can put my finger on exactly what it was. I think I was missing a bit of the oomph that the previous books had.

I feel that I wanted more fight/passion between them.

But this could just be me.

I liked seeing more of the Collins boys and their lovely ladies, and love the family dyanamics.

I look forward to more from this duo.

Me as I was reading Ruthless Princess: I laughed. I got angry. I still hate Nixon. I was WTF and holy hell. I cried. Did I say I still hate Nixon. I cried again.

I don't think I need to say any more.

But I will.

Firstly, that cover is FIERCE and I will definitely be getting this book for my shelf.

secondly, this could be read as a stand alone, however to me, if you haven't read the Eagle Elite series (at least in part) things may get a little bit lost. There has been a lot of build up to this series, and you need to know some of it.

I am obsessed with this book. I am obsessed with Eagle Elite: The Next Generation.

I have so many thoughts about this tale, however I also feel that readers need to just dive in and experience this story, therefore

Serena, Junior and Ash really are their dad's mini-mes. I could completely see their parents in them. Yet they are so much more. I felt they were more stubborn. More intense. And at times more ruthless.

I was lucky that I was buddy reading this book with a friend, as I was able to vent my feelings as I was going. And I went through allll the emotions. I was a wreck. It is the morning after the night before, and I am still at a loss for what to say.

Buy this book. And devour it. Just have wine / vodka and tissues handy.

In the words of Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted's... woah.

Where do I start with this review.

I have been looking forward to this Eagle Elite spin off since I knew it was happening, but wow wow wow, Ms Van Dyken has absolutely blown me away with Debase.

The suspense. The violence ( I don't condone violence, but this is the Mafia, so it is to be expected!), the heartbreak and the pain.

As per usual when I am reading a Rachel Van Dyken mafia book, I was reading parts through tears.

Andrei made my heart hurt. I loved him, I hated him, I loved to hate him. I knew he was going to break my heart, however to what extent I did not know.

I love the banter between Andrei and the guys from the EE series. They can still make me laugh all these years later, and it was great to get a little more of my Chase

I am a fan of these 1001 short stories - it gives us a glimpse into where some favourite characters are now, or gives us a story of characters that were only minor players in other books.

If you have read Rachel Van Dyken's Eagle Elite series (and if you haven't, you should!) you have met our main man Vic.

We know what Vic is capable of from previous stories, however we don't know Vic. He plays by the rules, no matter what it costs him.

Renee is sweet and adorable, however we soon come to learn who and what she is and how strong she can be.

My heart hurts for Vic as he sets about doing his "duty". I love the guys of Eagle Elite, but boy I really do kind of hate them in this at the same time. Expecially that Dick-son - oops, I meen Nixon.

I love the Vic and Renee go for what they want. And oh my do they steam up my kindle!

I love getting to see a little of all the family and the "families" in Envy. I have been invested in their lives for a lot of years now, and I always want to know more. And my Chase plays quite an important part in Envy woohoo!

This was a great little read, just enough to tide me over until we get more full length EE.

I can't wait to see what Ms Van Dyken brings me next.

It is truth universally acknowledged that the Queen is the most important and powerful piece on the chess board.

And it is a truth that Kennedy Ryan is a queen when it comes to writing strong, emotionally driven stories with strong, take charge women.

And Kimba is the Queen of this story.

The reader can see Kimba and Ezra's friendship and love blooming from a young age, however life will get in the way of their forever. My heart was wrenched out of my chest, and Ms Ryan slowly but surely put it back together piece by piece.

It is no always an easy coming together, but my heart was filled with hope . Hope the would find their way back to each other. Hope they finally got their HEA. And I didn't even want to hope for one thing in case it jinxed it.

This is a wonderful slow burn that had me needing to get to the next page to find out what happened next, at the same time as I wanted to savour every last moment we had together.

I am looking forward to what Ms Kennedy gives us next.

Tara Sivec, you had me at otter!

What can I say about this book other than it is otterly adorable (yes, there will be otter puns by the dozen from me!)

From Dax's first hilarious phone call to the last word, I adored this tale. From "could have been" lovers, to a mystery that needs to be solved, Dax and Harley travel an enjoyable, and at times frustrating road to their HEA

What I really liked is that they are not some young and idiotic coupling, they are 40ish and have life experience and a past that is more than what happened in college.

I did laugh at Harley's brother and father, even if at times they were eye roll worthy with their immaturity. I was kinda sorta curious about some of their "artwork" lol. I did want to shake some sense into Harley to tell them to grow TFU.

The stars of this story really are the otters, and this book made me want one as a pet! I mean, I always wanted one, but this made that need stronger.

I am looking forward to more from Ms Sivec in the future.

Woo hoo, back to Wicked Horse.

Well really, it was 50% Wicked Horse, 50% Jameson Security to me.

August and Leighton's story is full of second chances, sexy times and lots of family times. Oh, there is one character who is the definite scene stealer in this tale,

There is a bit of drama, bit of mafianess, and plenty of August trying to get Leighton to come around. There is some way hot sexy times between them, to be expected with a sex club series, however I liked that this was not just the sex club. In fact, I think it was around 50% before it really came into the story. I liked that it was a vehicle for our lovelies to become closer, not the be all and end all of their relationship.

One thing though, Ms Bennett - can we please, please get a book for Declan?

Oh, and I am really looking forward to Malik from the Jameson Security series that is hinted at in this book.
